Do we just DM you first and then you wait for our custom configs or do we have to have it ready when we DM you?
idk if ill be able to add retractable, im not that skilled, itll probably be just a removeable hard top in config menu
car is now fully working, just fixing up some smaller stuff, im now playing with RHD interior, if it works, itll be included in final release, if not, ill try to add it later or never
To be honest, if it will share so much of the design with the Vivace, it makes absolutely no sense to be a separate car. Making it separate would just make things unnecessarily harder, since it would require you to make its own materials, engines, suspensions and so on. Making it just a bodystyle inside the FCV slot, would greatly simplify things for you and for users. Apart from that, the model looks pretty good and it has an Audi TT/Peugeot RCZ vibe on its proportions.
as i said in first post, it is separate because even tho it is based on Vivace, it is a 3-door vert and vivace is 4-door hatch, so the B-pillar is moved ,door is longer, rear door doesnt exist, it just shares the base --- Post updated ---
Well, you know what you are doing, but being a different bodystyle, doesn't make it a different car. If we look at the Legran and the Legran Wagon, even though they are both a sedan and a wagon, they share the same design and the same slot, simply because they are different bodystyles of the same car. The same is valid for the Bluebuck, where a 2 door hardtop ans a 4 door sedan are not different cars, but different bodystyles of the same car. If the Monaco was a totally different car, with significant design changes, different suspensions, engines, interior and so on, we could consider it a whole different car, and it would justify being on a different slot. Let's use a real life example. The VW Golf MK3 had 4 different bodystyle options, the 3 door hatch, the 5 door hatch, the Variant (wagon) and the Cabriolet. Even though the cabriolet and the wagon are significantly different, they share the same platform and the same basic design, so we say they are 2 different bodystyles of the same car. Two generations later, VW decided to make the Golf cabriolet a different car model, so they kept the platform, but changed significantly the exterior and interior design to make the Eos. Also, in BeamNG, the "Vivace slot" is actually for the whole FCV platform, so it makes WAY more sense to keep the Monaco inside the FCV platform slot, since it is a car based on the FCV platform, and is a different bodystyle of the Vivace model. The Vivace has a lot of mods that expands its already large potential, and throwing all of it in the garbage doesn't seem like a smart move. This mod could be another expansion of that potential, and it is looking very good for now to be "wasted" by being on a standalone slot. Also, for file management reasons, making it a separate car would require you to duplicate all the common meshes, like the interior, front end parts, drivetrain, suspensions and so on, as well as the textures, materials, and a whole lot more. Making the Monaco a separate car is just overcomplicate a simple thing.
I appreciate the feedback, but even tho i would love for example the SV pack parts on it, im not hat good on making this a separate car, also i want to implement my own things like RHD interior (if i make it working eventually, model is done and it works). The decision to make it standalone also has another reason, when mods are parts of cars, people tend to forget about them, but making them standalone makes them to be seen every time you choose a car, thats why Diadem is still relevant even a year later instead of being forgotten as a part of GM.
