    Dear BeamNG.drive Development Team,

I would like to report several issues with the newly released Cherrier Percheron. While the truck is impressive in terms of modeling and detail, some of its advertised or visually represented features appear to be incomplete, non-functional, or poorly implemented.

    1. Non-Functional Air Suspension Controls

The Percheron has physical buttons inside the cabin that appear to be intended for adjusting the air suspension height.

    However:

    - Pressing these buttons produces no visible response.
    - I cannot raise or lower the suspension manually.
    - I could not find any corresponding controls in the key bindings.

Expected behavior: The driver should be able to raise and lower the air suspension, especially when connecting or disconnecting trailers.

    2. Retarder Controls Are Extremely Inconvenient

The retarder is functional, but its current control system is frustrating, especially when using a steering wheel.

    - The automatic braking mode appears to apply only approximately 20% retarder power when pressing the brake pedal, which often provides insufficient braking.
    - Reaching 100% manually requires pressing the increase button five times.
    - I could not find a way to assign a single button to activate the retarder at 100% power.
    - I could not find an option to customize the automatic retarder braking strength.

    Requested improvements:

    - Add a dedicated key binding for instant 100% retarder activation.
    - Allow users to configure the automatic retarder braking strength.
    - Add a toggle for automatic retarder operation.
    - Provide more flexible retarder controls for steering wheel users, including Logitech G29.

    3. Trailer Turn Signal Indicator Does Not Work Correctly

The dashboard has two turn signal indicators, apparently representing the truck and the trailer.

    However:

    - When activating either the left or right turn signal, only the left dashboard indicator flashes.
    - The external turn signals operate in the correct direction.
    - The right dashboard indicator flashes when the hazard lights are activated.
    - Even with a trailer connected, the right dashboard indicator does not flash during normal turn signal operation.

Expected behavior: If the second indicator represents the trailer turn signals, it should respond correctly when a compatible trailer is connected.

Please clarify whether this is an intentional design choice or a bug in the trailer electrical system simulation.

    4. Some Exterior Interactive Controls Do Not Respond

Some exterior components and panels appear to be interactive, but I have encountered elements that do not respond to mouse interaction.

Please review the exterior interactive controls and ensure that all intended functions are accessible and working correctly.

    5. Overall Feedback

The Cherrier Percheron has the potential to become one of the best trucks in BeamNG.drive. However, these issues negatively affect the driving experience and the level of realism.

The air suspension controls, trailer indicators, and retarder functionality are particularly important for realistic heavy truck simulation.

Could the development team please clarify:

    1. Are these known bugs or features that have not been fully implemented yet?
    2. Is functional manual air suspension height adjustment planned?
    3. Will the retarder receive additional customizable controls?
    4. Will the trailer turn signal indicator behavior be fixed?
    5. Are improvements planned for an upcoming 0.40.x hotfix?

    Game version: 0.40.x
Input device: Logitech G29 steering wheel

I appreciate the work that has gone into the Percheron, but I hope these issues can be addressed in future updates. The truck deserves fully functional systems that match the quality of its visual design.

    Thank you.

    1. Adjustable air suspension is WIP. Won't be ready for at least 2 major updates. Our current implementation of air suspension doesn't work well with adjustable height. On the T-Series the issue is mostly hidden by the suspension geometry, but you can still tell it uses way more air pressure than it should. On the Percheron it was not possible to use the same system because it caused severe issues. And there was no time to finish the new system we have in progress, so we temporarily removed the adjustable height. But it will be added back at some point when the system is ready, it is actively being researched and prototyped, it is high priority for us.

    2. Automatic retarder percentage depends on your brake input, so for example 50% brake input = 50% retarder. It is only useful for multiplying the brake performance with heavy load. You need to practically lock up the brakes to use 100%. Currently recommended way to use the retarder is set it to 100% and not change it, and when you want to temporarily disable it, just use a bit of throttle and it will turn off until you release. We will explore the possibilities for better retarder input control as we are also not fully happy with it right now. I'm not sure if any of this will make it to a hotfix though, maybe next update.

    3. Not sure if we can make the right indicator work correctly. Would it be better if it always copied the left indicator, even if trailer is not attached?

    4. Which exact components? If you mean the side compartment, they can only be opened from the interior. If you mean the right side spoiler, it is designed to be permanently attached to the intake so it cannot be moved.

Are there any other issues you are experiencing? It sounds like your experience is not very good overall, we would like to hear more details so that we know what exactly needs to be fixed.
