Why should the base model have the 3 cylinder only? Nowadays you can get more higher trim "luxury" versions with smaller engines. The Ford Focus for example, you can get a ST-Line, or high trim Vignale with a small 1.0l 125hp engine, and you don't really need more tbh.
And yes torsion beam is cheaper, but in normal everyday cars it drives and feels the same as independed suspension. Just because it's cheaper and not so "sporty" doesn't mean its bad.
Most people don't need, want or care for sportyness on their everyday commute.
My car has torsion beam and it drives just fine and better than my old one with independed...

 

I think the model range is gonna be around that :
i3 with 90 or 100 hp and 190Nm torque
i4 1.5 around 136hp and 164 hp and around 250Nm and 270Nm of torque
i4 2.0 about 200hp and around 300Nm and 330Nm of torque (like the giulia 2.0 i4).
I5 at least 350 hp but I think more over 400hp

forgot the diesel
i4 diesel 1.6 around 115hp and 130hp and about 280Nm or 300Nm of torque
I4 diesel 2.0 should be around 190hp and 400Nm of torque

 

I can't intelligently comment on this cars design aside from the fact it looks very euro and I hope it wraps around a telephone pole gloriously.
That being said, I am very keen on how the devs have handled this new car. Deep into production, very secretive and it's release date is months (and very few at that), not years. Well done!

Is cylinder deactivation possible in-game? I can't think of any official or modded vehicles that have it, but it is something many modern European vehicles utilize.

 

So I got to thinking about the Vivace's roof, and I wonder if we're going to be seeing some interesting things happening up there to reflect recent car-design trends.



I'm wondering if we could see a repeat of the Hirochi Sunburst, where two different roof panels could be selected to give the option of a sunroof. I'm wondering if this could happen again, but in panoramic form, given the recent rise of big sunroofs that extend over the back seat.

Then comes the potential for contrasting roof panels, as have become popular again on hatchbacks and small crossovers from brands of all types.

 

I hope base models will have black or silver brake calipers, and not red for every trim like we had on the Sunburst

 

My understanding is that it is not possible at this time, as the cylinders are not simulated individually - rather the entire motor combined is represented by output data.

 

Wii the cylinders ever be simulated individually?

 

This car excites me to a ridiculous level. I always feel like the Covet is lackluster and long in the tooth; not really a fun hot hatch. But the Vivace? OH BOY.

 

I'm just asking, is the Vivace cancelled? I'm hearing speculation on Reddit right now and I'm praying that's not the case.
