Fun fact: when the Renault R16 was launched in Italy, it was obstinately advertised as the "automobilo" (neologism, a non-existent masculine equivalent of "automobile", which is feminine in Italian), to remark its purely practical, no-frill identity.

 

Why are companies still doing that ugly headlight format? Have we not learned anything from the 2014 Cherokee?

For those who don't know, no, those sleek lights up top are DRLs/Turning signals, not headlights. The headlights are those lights under the grille. The Kona did it much more obnoxiously IMO:

Anyway, back to the Cherry. Don't wanna derail this.

 

There's a reason for this: headlights must meet certain size criteria and visibility regulations.

The Vivace would never pass real-world homologation tests (low/high beams are way too small), but regulations don't exist in the Parallel World of BeamNG™, so it's fine, ok...?

By the way, the first car to adopt this solution - led "brow" and separate headlight sitting below - was also french and it was the 2nd generation Citroën C4 Picasso/Grand Picasso:

 

This car has lots of chic style. Wonder if it will a luxury car like the DS 3, or be basic

 

speaking of the weird headlights, I'd be interested to see the base models get a more simple, likely cheaper halgogen headlight part.

They are doing campaign mode rn, aren't they? It's the only logical explanation why it's taking 3 months to deliver only 1 car to us.

 

Three months per car is pretty much standard, actually...

 

Just like every previous update, update 0.19 will contain new content not previously mentioned or teased, as well as bug fixes. It won’t just be the new car (though it’s not likely to be career mode).
