remember that most modern 1000cc bike engines make around 200hp, while the clio's 1000cc engine makes 65hp

This. Cars have been available with power steering since the 50s, so it should be equipped on luxury configurations of the early cars and on every configuration of the modern cars.

probably something about not wanting the ffb to feel "dead" to casual players who are used to other racing games. they probably assume that if you care enough about realism to add power steering, then you'll know how to equip it in the parts menu.

i would prefer having it in all the modern cars though, since i always have to add it every time i spawn except for in race versions. i would also like a slightly more advanced power steering adjustment, where you could decide if it was electric or hydraulic, and then adjust what rpm the hydraulic steering would be at 100% assistance. this way you could simulate electric steering on cars like the vivace, where it's a constant "on" as long as the car has power. you could also have hydraulic power steering that only turns on when the engine is running, and will only kick in at a certain rpm (very weak before that rpm) so that you can simulate a broken ps pump, and so that it isn't active when cranking the starter.

This is probably a stupid question. How do you change the car's gauge cluster to km/h? I looked in the parts list and you cant change it there.

You need to go Options>User interface and change whole unit system

i think it is is a general misconception which size class the vivace and tograc belong to they are not small or subcompact cars like the covet they are compact cars. Which is a class above that like the sunburst they are clearly to big to be small cars so they are not based on for example a 208 or 2008 but rather a 308 or 3008. And with that in mind french car maker don't really put engines under 100hp in their compact cars so the base petrol and diesel cars are actually realistic with their power figures

Well the thing is BeamNG is a game, game FFB is much lower than IRL, the torque on the steering wheel ingame w/o power steering is comparable to IRL vehicle w/ power steering.

Well you're right, but Fiat and Honda does use NA engines (1.4 95 HP Tipo/Aegea for example, if they still sell it in Europe that is), so there is some uses but under 110 HP (Vivace 110) it would feel really slow I guess, you might have a point now.

About that, I'm not sure if everyone would prefer "all displays" but time moves on and preferences changes too, so I don't have anything to say about it.

Still, they would be nice option, I think.

I'd like to point out that if you look all of the modern French (and other) new models, you will see that they have striking manufacturer logos on front grilles or front, which certainly isn't the case on new Cherriers. Badges are instead very small, barely noticable. It would be realistic if the Tograc and Vivace got their badges bigger, and possibly grilles redesigned.

    Agree.

Nose as a whole in particular is the least french-looking element of the exterior design. It has a distinct asian feeling to it, if I didn't know Cherrier is supposed to be a french manufacturer by the lore, I'd swear the FCV vehicles would be korean or even chinese.

European design language has been moving toward neat, sharp and geometrical shapes (just compare the Vivace and its "scribbled", tormented frontend, to any of the actual french cars pictured in the post above), the FCV cars are a tad too "melty" to be credible as european compacts.

Officially the best car in BeamNG.
Minor problems include a very weird front bumper that once remained intact after an 80km/h head-on impact (in fact the whole car seems insanely strong, once i rolled over at 200km/h in the rally config and the car remained perfectly driveable) and bugged mirrors (you can install both normal and race mirrors at the same time).

Why is there no DCT for the 3-cylinder, and what is the purpose of the E 130 ECU (judging from that, there should be a Vivace 130 config slotted slightly above the base model)?

Have to agree on that too, the sportier models with the badge on the hood can get away with it to some degree but the standard ones do look very odd, especially the base model with a massive empty grille.

Just a mock up and some crappy photoshop but it gets the point across.

I think a good way to implement CVTs on the FCV is to keep the DCTs on the sportier trims, but put CVTs on the "tamer" trims. This is the kind of method Hyundai does with some of their vehicles.

The FCV cars are french not asian that would not be all that realistic because french or european car manufacturers don't really like cvt transmissions. Almost no european car has one they all pretty much do dct's now especially in the compact segment only asian manufactureres put those Transmissions everywhere.

just seeing this thread sometimes makes me think, corporate execs of Cherrier consisting of BeamNG forums users have come together and want to make changes to the Vivace/Tograc as they think its either more appropriate or is a better financial decision....but its interesting nonetheless to see people's input
    --- Post updated ---
I agree with that, basically nearly all euro cars either use a DCT, a automatic of the manufacturer's own design, or the widely used ZF 8-speed auto
