I like the mod, a nice respectably accurate Bolide based representation of the F40(one of the greatest Ferrari's ever made to many people). I dig i finally found a more real life Ferrari based mod such as this one. I would like to suggest a 288 GTO. Looking at this mod in game, it does not look like it would take you much to make a good 288 version(The GTO is even the predecessor to the F40). I tried to make a 288 GTO using your mod but, all it accomplishes is looking like parts are missing. There are some parts where they need to change as they are present on the F40 but not the 288. Unfortunately the only option is an empty slot for these parts. Anyway thought I'd head to the discussion page to give this mod props(It's one of the better Bolide mods I've had really, I quite like the wheels both rim and tire options btw well done),and make my suggestion.
Interestingly ,the Corse Test has better handling than the Corse GT. This is becalse of the wing downforce, greatly increase the liftCoef may help, but I cannot find the liftCoef in the Stock Spoiler.
At some point between 0.10 and now, aerodynamics got changed slightly in BeamNG, which means cars that are heavily dependent on aero (like the corse) got messed up. The test Corse is fine because it is using the stock Bolide aero, which didn't get messed up, and the Competizione uses different race aero, which also survived the aero changes. If you put race aero on the Corse GT, it should drive fine. I tried fixing it, but didn't really get anywhere. So, if you want to use the Corse GT, just put race aero on it.
I finally managed to figure out how to change the downforce, before the change the front downforce is actually greater than the rear downforce. by moving around some nodes and adjust some collision triangles, the downforce can be made to very balanced. However tuning a vehicle is more than downforce, such as suspension, the adjustments are: Corse Test Vehicle: Fixed 0.20 no front wheels, tuned differential adjusted brake balance Corse & Corse GT: Increased rear wing downforce, tuned suspension, tuned differential, adjusted brake balance Corse SL: Increased underbody/diffuser downforce to comphensate the lack of rear wing, tuned suspension, tuned differential, adjusted brake balance Corse Competizione: Fixed 0.20 no rear tires, tuned differential. Slightly reduced Turbo sounds (the 0.18 update IIRC made them too noisy) Engine sound changed to Bolide V8 instead of ETKI I6
Is it OK if I revive this mod? So far, I have added another engine, more intakes, engine N2O, and fixed a bug with the horn.
/bump This mod had a good run, I doubt it works with the new civetta bolide remaster. but ninetynine's legacy will live on
I recommend downloading the Civetta Bolide Legacy mod on the repo. Most of the older mods should work with it.
Hello, I've tried to reach the mod author via PM but got no answer yet, so I will try here. I'm in love with Ferrari F40, so when I saw your Civetta Bolide Corse mod, I got hooked! NinetyNine!, I would like to ask if you could give me permission to convert and use your mod into Live for Speed, which got mods support recently. Of course I would credit you as the original author of the model. Thank you
