Interior progress [Mirror edits and speedo]

    (imported from here)

    (imported from here)

Keep in mind the car goes 248+ KM/H

    - - - Updated - - -

    GTNosecone Mesh Edits
    Before

    After

    (imported from here)

Looks more aggressive to match the headlights

Changes to jbeam were made too, picture not necessary.

More realistic aerodynamics, realistically the new frontal mesh would channel air around the sides of the vehicle more.

    - - - Updated - - -

Changed aerodynamics to front end Jbeam

    Now crashes more realistically

Now achieves a speed of 366Km/h!!!
    227Mph

Before changes the car would only go around 348Km/h
    216Mph
    For some reason.

Adding a small bumper thingy to the lower front of the car would make it look a bit better.
    BUMP-er.jpg
And adding something like this to the rear
    110311_3.jpg
    SH-REITER-06.jpg

That lower black thing that comes from underneath the carbon covered bottom of the car

The thing on the front end is called a "Splitter"

on these cars the whole front end acts as a splitter curving air over the body work to create huge amounts of downforce.

That lower black thing that comes from underneath the carbon covered bottom of the car

    That is called a "Diffuser"

They can be modeled but not effectively pulled off in BeamNG.Drive due to lack luster airflow physics from jbeam-jbeam.

    Cough, Cough, Alpha. ;)

Also I want to avoid adding all these things because it would require more jbeam and with the setup I've got now more jbeam = more weight, the vehicle creates enough down-force as is.

The splitter would just make the front deform weirder than it already does without adding that.

A defuser would require revision on the entire rear end of the vehicle.

This would than require me to jump through hoops to make sure the shading still functions as it should as the rear has given me enough trouble with such things.

    - - - Updated - - -

    Tell you what.

I modeled a lip on the front that makes it look good in a visual sense.

    (imported from here)

Took a look at rear end model, I was able to integrate a small diffuser into the rear-end

Well, I can play most other games without any driving assists, and I can control the 320 bolide, but the 390, I couldn't do a 90 degree angle with that for my life XD
    Also, Nice progress!

    Rollcage Model!

    (imported from here)

    (imported from here)

Needs reinforcing nodes and beams. [Rollcages get light jbeam to reinforce the cockpit]

    - - - Updated - - -

Generally the racecar type that I am moderately basing my car off of would have wider doors and wheel-arch vents.. I don't need those vents because mine has regular doors so I have air vents at the back of the front piece of the vehicle.. I may add small non intrusive vents however at a later time.

    In terms of the vents..

Those extrusive things on the side weren't used on 80s-90s race cars...

    ---Postponed---

Any work this morning due to be postponed for the near future as a thunderstorm is rendering me useless.

I lost power 10min ago, shortly after it returned. After turning my PC back on to talk to a friend who lives not too far from me. maybe 12-16km, and shortly after starting a call on skype [He flickered when I briefly lost power] he completely went out and I heard thunder in the distance.

Sorry /= weather's in control of this one.

Too unstable to start any work that I'll no doubt lose to the gods.

Lost 5 min of quick UV work when I briefly lost power.

In other news I just ran out of thanks... god thanks it. [I'm bored]

Could you curve the headlights like they were before? Looked much better than thos edge/blocky ones. It looks odd the way it is now.

Otherwise this thing looks good and i cant wait to try it out.

I'm guessing you live somewhere around New York? I just talked to a friend up there and he said they were getting bad storms. Hope they don't last too long.

South east canada (Nova Scotia) so somewhere just above new york

The main reason why I don't like the old headlights is because...

    1. Very polygonal

    (imported from here)

    (imported from here)

    2. The new ones allowed me to completely reshape the front end from a very morphy looking metal shape almost reminiscent to an old corvette

    (imported from here)

To an all-out supercar-like shape that fits a racecar of this caliber

    (imported from here)

    (imported from here)

This happened because I changed the headlights than had to change the front end to fit their shape.. and it became something of a huge improvement over the morphy front end that looked like the wheel arches were carved out of torpedo shells.

Now it would actually curve air around the side of the vehicle realistically and thus it makes it look more realistic, changing the headlights could prove problematic for this feature.

    Hehehehe...

I hope there is a Martini liveries for this little beast.
Slayersen is like a Lancia in a good way, first one to make a proper derby car with official car, first one to make a GT car with an official car too.

And here in Germany I just melt away at a (not so) nice 40°C, which is very, very hot.
Hot enough to cook an egg on a cars hood.
Even now at midnight it's still 25°C outside.
