In it's current state it isn't too satisfying to drive on moderate bumps and imperfect roads however this hasn't been re-tweaked since weight changes in the jbeam have occurred from awhile back.
Clayton, you need to calm down. All i did was suggest to him, I didn't say GIVE IT TOM ME OR IMMA HATE YOU FOREVER, I gave him feedback/ a suggestion. Think before you talk next time.
Sorry for extreme camber on the front it's a little unstable at the moment otherwise. Fixed suspension slightly more travel, stiffer shocks, heavier mounting points for increased stiffness, now it is easy to drive past 100km/h [before it was hard after 70km/h] and only get easier for the most part. Handles bumps on far better than before and can even drive mostly smooth on pikes peak. Front suspension will be revised for further improvement later. You can also slide at 250Km/h plus and the rear end doesn't bounce it just slides The rear end has extra damping as to not throw the car off course over every minor bump.
However unnecessary it was for him to specifically quote you even though people had been suggesting all over the place in the past pages since I originally showed the new front. He was talking to everyone who posted about the headlights not just you. Please understand people are not perfect. I do not believe it was intended as a personal attack. Forgive and forget.
Woa there you don't have to be so angry about it, just chill for once jeez all I tried to do was help slayersen... is this what you get for trying to help people...
In Response to posts #331, #333, #342, #343, and #346 This is all my fault... as the secondary on the project that gives me analysis on my work, Clayton8or with his attention to detail, alpha testing, and in-depth feedback, I'd given him a task. Last night I was really down about the constant flow of endless critique over everything and sometimes it seems those that support the project only focus on the bad and not the good. I understand the concept of constructive criticism but one can only handle so much before one may begin to crack. So I told him to somehow come up with a way to justify the headlights in their than extra wip heavy state. I didn't really have much to say about how it would be done, just wanted it done. It just so happened that GameNoobTV was the example post that happened to be quoted... even though I believe quoting no one in particular would have been the best action to take. their was an abundance of these critiques being posted. Please forgive me for this, I apologize to anyone who may have gotten hurt and for community backlash. We all get carried away in action sometimes.
I seriously never meant to offend anyone or get anyone angry in doing this... I just feel like it gets a bit much sometimes and I act like the forum police and try and clean it up but sometimes it doesn't work.
Workload Key -Minor- -Moderate- -Major- Progress until Pre-Beta: -Adjust Front Suspention Further -Minor- -Fix Rollcage Stiffness (It is far too weak) -Moderate- -Tweak and add jbeam to rear end -Moderate- -Fix Mirrors (They fall off sometimes at high speed) -Minor- -Jbeam sideskirts -Minor- Progress until Beta: -Model Taillights -Minor- -Program Lights -Moderate- + -Add Transmission Options -Minor- -Revise Wing Connection -Moderate- -Make RHD Variant -Moderate- -Maybe Change Tires/Rims -Moderate- -Possibly Add Livery and UVs -Major-
its coming together great now. can you have the exhausts stopping right behind the wing PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSSSE
I do not see this as something that should be changed because it looks fine in it's current state and I do not want to have to jbeam it otherwise it will either look awkward having it extrude from the rear end and have no physics or weighing the car down more than necessary...
on top it makes more down force this is ment to be a realistic mod Right? you don't have to if you don't want to it's just a suggestion
I think I'll pass on this suggestion, as this seems rather unnecessary for what I am trying to do. I am working to pump this mod out as soon as possible, every time I have tried to begin working for the performance side of things some minor topic comes up to slow things down. Sorry, but I am closer than ever, and remodeling half the chassis just to redirect the exhaust awkwardly out the side with an obvious lack of physics doesn't seem to be the direction I should be heading in right now. OFF-Topic Also might I recommend using the image URL embedding system as opposed to attachments... it is far more convenient, obviously this is just a personal preference. Oh, OCD.
Top exhaust doesn't increase down-force on F1 because it isn't top exhaust that is literally a hidden exhaust stuffed in the body work with a little exhaust tip exposed at the rear bolted on. An F1 car is the worst example for this as F1 car regulations limit teams from exploiting exhaust for aerodynamic downforce, In other words you cannot use the exhaust on F1 to increase downforce. The only way exhaust increases down force is a "Exhaust Driven (Blown) Diffuser" There is no information on the internet to provide evidence of these being utilized on group C period racecars.
When do you estimate this beast of a vehicle will be available to the public? Can't wait to try it out!
Progress until Pre-Beta: -Tweak and add jbeam to rear end -Moderate- -Fix Mirrors (They fall off sometimes at high speed) -Minor- -Jbeam sideskirts -Minor- After these tasks which will likely be done by either and have a basic alpha version released by I'd rather not disclose any due date estimates as I do not wish to disappoint anyone. But let it be known that sometime soon, what "Soon" means is up to you to guess, but just wait and see.
Here is to hoping people will be okay with the first release lacking working lights, taillight concept models, extra polish and RHD.
Well I can't say this portion will make first release however... here are some leaks of progress. Gauges will need to be remirrored manually as to not mirror ever specific vert causing backwards gauges. Pedals aren't moved yet and are yet to be mapped to a slot. Needles need manual mirroring.
