This kinda looks like a Lmp car (sorry for my english and drawings skills). I put the link of a real lmp because it woul be too big. http://www.autointell.com/News-2001/April-2001/Cadillac-LMP2001.jpg . Ps: This is not a suggestion and I KNOW the link is for a car from 2000. But a "without roof" version of the class C Could be cool
ummm... it's not an LMP car, It's meant to be Group C. Did you see the recent development pics? Alot of changes are being made.
I've seen that, that was just to say that the old version without the body could be a base for another car ^^"
I didn't see much of a difference between the two. Did you do a slight redesign of the roof? Anyway, I really like the direction this project is going, and can't wait for the next release.
So I mentioned that something happened that made some changes in how things were going. Well it's very personal but basically some changes to medication I take have been made such as... removing it from my life completely lol. [Because the cons outweigh the pros] My schedule has changed somewhat and for the next three weeks I won't be able to get any work done. I've got too much school work in my face at this point in time to make time for this to happen. I've began to pursue digital artwork as another hobby, I've always wanted to do this but could never find the motivation or time to learn, now that I feel like it is a way to express myself and lift depression in doing so that has obviously changed. Due to the situation with schoolwork I obviously cannot find enough time to do anything but about an hour to learn my hobby a day, if that, and time for homework. So for now expect little to no progress. Idk when I will return to work on it but it will be made someday in the near future within reason. I will one day finish this project, just not right now. Sorry if this post seems unprofessional, I was distracted while writing it I do apologize. -Slayersen P.S. if you are confused in terms of perspective, I am 17 and turning 18 years of age in April.
Its not, Ill be dead before this car is. You dont know him, hes spent far too much work on this to just abandon it straight up. Dont worry this stuff just takes awhile and he has alot of other stuff going on right now.
When he says "You don't know him".. well me and him voice chat daily on Skype. I would not be wasteful and throw a project that has grown so much fuss/hype around here in the trash. When something is done as a hobby through a non-profit project and priority shift occurs due to events one cannot change, one cannot always expect something to be as fast as even I'd like it to be as the creator. I'd wish I had it done a long time ago... I currently find working on it cumbersome and monotonous due to lack of creative variety. I want to come back with another fresh prospective on the project so I can find another dose of inspiration and get the modeling done and just plow through the technical jbeam side of things. I've left for a short period of time before, and come back strong, I can do it again, just because a month of absence occurs doesn't mean forever, winter is hard on everyone in my region for many reasons.. High School workloads at the end of a semester is one of those. I cannot simply leave BeamNG and never look back, it means too much to me, I wouldn't be where I am now without it, in the past year I've met so many amazing people as a result of this beautiful game. T H I S S H A L L N O T D I E Also waiting to get new hardware to improve the state of my mostly unstable computer. Janunary 27th 2016 Update So I still lack the time and not quite enough motivation to work on it right now as I am moving rooms in a week and I need to clean up my tornado aftermath, borderline pigstie of a room. and the next semester starts next week plus I got a weekend job to get some income. But I do have a new power supply [EVGA QG 650 - 80PlusGold] power supply. This thing over my low-end budget CoolerMaster EX2 Extream series 625Watt PSU litterally gave me an increase of 30FPS at times.
He said that his previous PSU was causing his GPU to be power-starved often, so I'm not surprised in this case.
BeamNG uses both CPU and GPU to full potential.. there is a lot of room there for the Power Supply to be overdriven. Let me be more clear. My PSU was starving my GPU underload. I could often tell when this was the case. Doing a GPU test with my CPU under even minor load I could see my GPU stuttering from 98~99% and the actual test would stutter. on more intense maps on beam it would often stutter at 40FPS but now it's a smooth 40FPS.. often running at a slightly higher FPS at the same time. Only in very specific situations I've seen 30FPS come from it. On Eastern Sanctuary inside a scenario instead of getting 50-70 I get 60-90FPS.. that is a pretty low intensity map for what it is on my PC. On the scenario "Destroy the moonhawk" I used to get an unplayable 25-30FPS with stutter that didn't exactly bring satisfaction. Now I get 35-40FPS.. without a side of microstutter. It's almost like my PSU would cause my GPU to render out everything with microstutter, but anything above 60FPS would look fine due to my 60Hz monitor lacking the ability to display anything beyond that point. Also if I ran an intensive map like Jungle Rock Island than opened up blender my blender would lag/stutter like crazy when rotating or moving the camera until I went in beam and looked at the sky or lowered graphical settings to minimize GPU usage. --- Post updated --- In other news http://www.beamng.com/threads/pc-upgrading.20419/#post-309856
I was actually thinking about this vehicle for the past week or so. Ive had a lot of fun with it and my map, Indianapolis. its pretty fun. i cant wait to see the rest when its done. I hope you find motivation, i find it hard to find as well, i hope this motivates you a bit so that when you are able to work on it, you find the motivation. If you want, i could try to help you with it or something. its a very fun car and i hope to see it complete in the future. Keep it up.
Finding motivation is like finding water in a desert... hard. I think once I rebuild my PC and all technical issues are more or less gone in terms of CPU overhead causing a slue of issues I can get around to working on it. Can't say that will happen until mid may, don't assume this means I won't work on it in the mean time, I've actually done small things since what has been seen as of yet.
i think untill you find motivation new updates will come pyhsics will change this car will turn into obsolete rubbish then this project will die otherwise this could be the greatest car i could see in beamng btw please be pleased with your computer stats, i get 30 fps in beamng in a good day and it is not "unplayable"
GTX 770 2Gb with ACX cooler [EVGA SC] At times it gets 60% usage on beam. The PSU helped and now I can confirm my PC is getting the proper flow of power it needs.
