Awesome!!! i love this idea, will be looking forward to it. There was one thing i noticed, sorry if a lot of people already said this but i think the roll cage is a bit too strong, but that's what i think

Yeah but that isn't really something that matters a whole lot.. its unrealisitic but I'm going for a minimalistic jbeam approach.. and the roof would likely have mesh issues if I had to worry about how it deformed which in the end just doesnt matter as much as everything else.

Also I don't know if you just seen this thread and downloaded the car or actually went through the discussion and read the latest posts.. I've been overhauling the whole vehicle for a while now.. recently returned to finalally give a conclusion to this cliffhanger.

Softening it could result in a car with less overall stabillity. When I had it in a tate where it deformed it just made it annoying to drive as any hard crash would bug out the camera and collapse the roof which was even less realistic.

Getting the mesh and general physics right is more of a priority then worrying about the underwhelming roof deforation, I hope you understand.

You know, I'm having an issue trying to decided which obstacle to tackle next.

    *Bugs*
Suspension/Tires - This would take a motherload of time to even diagnose the issues I'm having with odd spuratic camber/toe where both are offset more between left and right by more then normal margin of error [10%]
Window Textures/Light - Simple troubleshooting, could take 10 minutes, could take 10hrs
Downforce - I'd like to outsource for some help on this if possible, but idk if I can get an agreement in place.

    *Other*
Engine/Transmission Revisions - Not sure it's time to approach this problem yet as jbeam changes will occur soon.

    *Main Works*
Jbeam - Well I need to complete the mesh before this more or less.
Mesh - Not sure I should be focusing on this before fixing all the major bugs.

Not sure if they're still active here, though Jalkku could possibly be of help? I know their Capri mod uses downforce and a few other things that may be of interest to you!

I would work on the Bugs, So that if any more pop up when you make something else, you know that it was caused by that change

I found a major bug caused by the cockpit. It creates 6 deformed beams where removing it creates 0 which means it's creating unstable beams. I've decided to start overhauling the jbeam so then I can start working on the suspension, work out the bugs and fix the mesh/textures later.

-Some improved jbeam on the roof allowing for more realistic weight distribution and rollovers
    -Small downforce changes
-Changes to frontend chassis mesh and bodywork jbeam.
-Frontend no longer send car up into the air upon minor to moderate frontal impacts.
    --- Post updated ---

Front end completely fell off and caught some drag, went way up, and slowly came down.

Well I got a new HardDrive so making 1080P 60FPS lossless videos is absolutely not a problem anymore.

Working on modeling a bucket racing seat for this and the D-15 Derby 2016

Well considering all the work that needs to be done a while.. I can't just give a date, if you simply see this as a model change... then idk what to say.
It's more then a new model.
It's new jbeam and way more functional
Right now it's terrible in comparison with how I want the final version to be for release.

I'm not the kind of guy to release terrible barely-functional alphas.
The entire point of this mod is to go fast and corner well with 90s tech.. and it currently does that poorly because the mod is in a transition phase.

For anyone waiting on a status update [this does apply to the Derby D-15 (2016) as well] I am struggling with the bucket seat. It's proven to be a very abstract object to model. Concave shapes are difficult when complex like this.

After two attempts this is what I've got, doesn't live up to my standards really...

Unfinished attempt #1 [Trashed the files on this piece of rubbish]

    Attempt #2

Dummiesman also felt obligated to make an attempt =P

As much as I hate to admit.. I need help, maybe if someone could donate a bucket seat model that isn't decent that'd be amazing. I'd use it in my mods and give full credit to the user who created it..
