How many polys/sections does each tyre have at the moment? Are they modelled with steel belts inside them? Reinforced sidewalls? Perhaps they will require a different approach. I honestly don't know enough about how the game models them, I just know they don't feel like real tyres......yet :)

They are 12 sided. There is no real gain to be made by upping it to 14 or 16. It just increases the load on the processor and potentially increases weight.

As for steel belts... all of that is abstracted. It's a quite simple structure.

Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere,
But is it possible to lift the headlights?

The devs said not yet but it will be possible in the future without having to change codes, just with a key I think.

Yes, it is. In the headlight jbeam file, find the temporary headlight latch section in beams, and comment out "{"beamPrecompression":1}," , leaving "{"beamPrecompression":1.43}," Do this for both headlights in the file.

Sonny Crockett just received his new toy: :D

I just love that car, the details are amazing and the mix of different seventies (and perhaps a bit of eighties) sports cars works well!

I've noticed a problem with the rear suspension. I wouldn't call it wheel hop, because there's almost no vertical movement of the wheel when this happens. The best way I could describe it is to say that the rear wheels move as if they are being steered wildly when the tires lose traction. I have friends that own Jeeps and when something like this happens to their front axle they call it "death wobble."

It is noticeable under many circumstances if you know what to look for, but the best way to see this in action is as follows:
-put the car in reverse and accelerate to a moderate speed
-shift to neutral, holding the throttle open to raise the revs
-shift to first, keeping the throttle planted
-watch the rear wheels go wild

I think that whatever is causing the suspension to do this may also be adding to the car's drive-ability issues. Wheel hop would be a realistic occurrence, especially in a lower-end vehicle, but this would be considered a dangerous problem for a true-life production car.

I think I have found the car's biggest problem area.

It's in the rear differential. The problem is that it is locked, which is odd for a sports car. Locked differentials are good for crawling (if you have 4WD and enough ground clearance) and hauling heavy cargo, but terrible for anything sports car related. They cause the car to veer from side to side very easily and limits its steering radius.

I just tried opening up the diffs by editing the "super_engine.jbeam" file in Notepad, and the car feels a lot easier to drive now. Granted, it's still a handful, but the handling and straight-line stability is a lot better.

Edit: I broke my old speed record, which was 138 mph! I have managed to get this car to 146 mph, using the manual transmission. :)

No no... take the body off leaving the go-kartish frame shift into reverse full throttle and then they go wild :D

I did that and both of the headlights just fly out as soon as it spawns. It showns the beams are broken.

I still have this weird window problem. When I load the bolide it gives me a bunch of pop ups telling me that it can't find window files or something. After I spam click through them it loads the car. The windows on the inside look like a wavy grass texture that moves as the car moves. on the outside it's just grayed out. I can't get a screenie right now as I'm on my laptop on which the bolide works perfectly. (apart from the handling issues anyway) It's been this way since I got the game. (I was one of the few to download it before the servers got really slow from all the traffic) Updating doesn't do anything. Is there any way to fix this or should I just reinstall the game?

I like the car, but I noticed is that I'm having issues on trying to launch the car, it acts like it's on the barking brake, but the P brake is Off. And I also noticed that the vents on the dash act like dancing Jell-O. Will these issues also be fixed in the next update?
