WIP Civetta C94LM Prototype

LMP900 came out of IMSA WSC and FIA SR1 regulations. The Ferrari 333SP was still theoretically(-ish) legal for LMP900.

 

The car looks good but the wings proportions really bother me right now. The endplate being super thick and the wings profiles being weird and the supports being thick. It really throws off the whole car imo

 

Looks incredible, we really need more purpose built racecars in Beam.

I have a suggestion, (do of that what you want really) if you want your rear panel's reflection to perfectly match the side panel's, I'd recommend cutting your bodyparts with booleans and applying them >after< you subdivided the main mesh, this way the reflections and surfaces are infinitely better than if you do it manually.

It's nitpicking though, the whole car looks great, it's just this area that has a slight mismatch

 

fixed.

rear suspension designing. also we've been testing aerodynamic balance to match the driving experience and the speed could match the laptimes of 333sp and riley in 1997(tested in laguna seca).

Update: rear suspension finished, doing some texture works.

 

Considering a centerlock conversion of the vanilla wheel to be one option maybe?
Redesigned the monocoque, still updating the suspension and inner structural parts. Long way to go.

 

Would upsized Civetta Intrecciatas or Clockwise 533s be another option? Those seem more era-appropriate, to me at least.

The wheels shown are pretty close to the R390 GT1s wheels so id say its fine for the era

 

Those are also on the list. I reckon the DREID wheel had some 2000s european racecar vibe on it,so maybe we would use the wheel on an alter spec config with low-drag wing and diffuser to represent some 333 that were ran by privateers in 2000s, and those sportscars at the same time, like orecas and courages.

Yoo you can use my dual plenum intake model from the Civetta Bolide V10 Evoluzione mod as a base, the intake pipes however are really up to your discretion though. Just tag my name and you are good!
