Cool! I will hopefully be able to give you plenty of feedback, if I can find some. It's very rare stuff, you know.
I am working with @Ouerbacker , Creator of the map Trynelgren, to see if he can smooth the roads out. But enough lame talk about the stuff thats going on behind the scenes, why not some nice ol' screenshots?(Im holding off on video since I am waiting on @Ouerbacker to work some magic on the roads) Too lazy to insert them all into my post
Looking really awesome! Those roads seem to be placed very well. Another map to add to my list of maps to be excited for... Good job Driv3r1142 (and Ouerbacker)
Thanks! Im also looking forward to your map ALTITUDE. How do you place the clouds the way they are in those pics of your terrain? @Ouerbacker should have the roads smoothed sometime soon, when I will be able to film the map at this point and bring it to life.
Right now I am playing on other maps looking for ideas to use in mine, and also looking at how dead the forums are around here almost all the time
Sometime this week I will be back to working on the map. @Ouerbacker should be done with the roads shortly. Once I am able to work on the map again, I will be modeling another service station, a Restaurant, a few rusty 50's car shells, some road signs, and whatever else I think I will need down the road to complete this map.
But development isnt paused. I am messing around with WindEmmiters and trying to figure out how to make each section of the map feel distinctively different from eachother. And I will try to get groundcover in, but no guarantees since I cant seem to get the Terrain editor to cooperate when loading a texture in-game.
I got bored, so I wasted a couple hours speed modeling this new static object for my map; Not too bad, but not my best. I am gonna make a sign for it next.
Looking awesome! That gas station looks really good. And whether those roads are done or not, they are still looking beautiful. Once again, good job Driv3r1142 and Ouerbacker!
The project has taken an interesting turn... This will suprisingly now be 2 maps. One with my original intended design, and the other version being the one that I and @Ouerbacker are working on. Pics as soon as Ouerbacker is done with his part. He has sent me a rough prototype that I have reviewed and have given the O.K on.
Hey! Good job, your gas station is hand made? Just look at the proportion of pumps... Little too big I think. On what soft do you work?
Warning The road texture (canyon of speed) have not a good resolution initially, it's why there is a glitter render...(just a little information). It must be a derivative of 512 pixels. (for example 512*1024 or 2048*2048, a kind like that..) try to resize it with Gimp or an another soft...
It's amazing watching this map evolve. Looking sharp and the atmosphere is entering a new phase. I like the snow transition too. Looking good and don't forget to retain what you learn!
