Shit, OK.. let me fix that.. - - - Updated - - - Alright, it's fixed and I re archived it and uploaded it. There's so many damn materials.cs files that need to be checked before a terrain is packed. Also, thanks for pointing that issue out so quickly, guys.
Map is looking great, the technique you use to create roads is by far the best. A few suggestions to the map: One of those coastal road tunnels that you get on some highways made from concrete with gaps on one side. A few wind generators on the sand so there is something interesting at car level to look at. Some kind of texturing on the side of the road, its a little disorienting with the flat part next to the road which is the same colour.
Yeah I meant wind turbine* Just eye candy, their white colour contrasts the blue sea quite nicely too.
Driving the Datsun SFA around the track was a challenge, but tons of fun. This thing handles quite well for having massive tires and soft suspension, but it wants to roll so bad in every corner . Believe it or not my fastest time was actually in the SFA version.. 81' Datsun 720 (SFA) 2:21:57 81' Datsun 720 (Race) 2:26:51 81' Datsun 720 (Drift) 2:36:99
So i edited the starting terrain into a sort of hill climb because i wanted to drive around the top lol. took me about an hour to get it at least possible to drive and make it up there with out resetting.
So I did have the timer, but I wanted to see what speeds I was doing. So I added the speedometer mod and now the timers disappeared? I've tried re-downloading the Coastal Map file and overwriting everything when copying, but still no timer. Any ideas please?
The speedometer mod overtakes my OSD, so it'll never work with it. You'd have to remove the speedometer mod for it to work again. The next release of Coastal Road will have a basic text MPH reading in the OSD that updates once per second.
Ok thanks, removed Speedometer mod and got the timing back. Looking forward to the next update, sounds good.
I will try and set my wheel up again, hopefully i remember the settings i like or have them saved in the profiler. Then off to the time trials i go! lol. Love this car though, probably will even more when i stop using a keyboard.
