They, as Jujune said are currently only candy so no Jbeam. Models are right here if anyone wants to do one. BTW might try to put the brits black prince on chris Lucas's CL-27 tank Jbeam as they're roughly the same shape make a few edits to the jbeam but no release only eyecandy.
Very sad as its a so called "russian" mod on a grand marshal JBeam rather than having one suited to the car
Why is everyone complaining about the Russian mods? I think this BMW is great! Why haven't anyone made this car yet?
Don't know if you understand how BeamNG works. A car in beamNG is made up of 2 parts. Mesh and Jbeam. What is drawn on screen that your eyes see is the mesh. What is actually responsible for the physics is the JBeam, the mesh has nothing to do with the physics, its purely the JBeam. 99% of the mods that are complained about aren't complained about because they are russian. Its because the mods are lazy. That mod you are playing with there is using a mesh stolen from another game without credit (so its a copyright violation in itself). That mod there doesnt modify the JBeam though, it just uses the grand marshal one. So basically you are just driving a grand marshal, its just rendered on screen differently, but in terms of actual driving and collisions its just a grand marshal. How shit is that? Hell, there have been cases where there have been russian mods of front wheel drive cars with independent suspension all round and they've just slapped it on an unaltered grand marshal because thats the nearest shaped vehicle ignorant of the fact the grand marshal is rear wheel drive with a solid rear axle so as a result this lovely front drive mod is being completely inaccurately simulated. There is an SUV out there with a D15 Jbeam, unaltered, there is actually an SUV out there with a marshal JBeam unaltered, hilarious when that one rolls over because the mesh is taller than the JBeam so it just sticks through the terrain. When the JBeam deforms in a crash, the game tries to deform the mesh in the same way, on some of the russian mods depending on how badly matched the mesh is to the default JBeam you end up with horrid spikes shooting off because where the JBeam and mesh arent lined up the game has a bit of a hissy fit when it tries to deform the mesh. That BMW should come out ok being a similar size to the grand marshal but it won't be perfect. There was an audi on a bolide JBeam that was particularly horrid for it as the front bumper stuck out about a metre from the bolide one which meant the front bumper would sink inside the wall and then when the JBeam actually hit the wall the front bumper mesh kinda exploded. Those mods are hideous quality. They are uncredited. That is why they are hated.
You can play with the Russian mods if you want, we don't care. But don't advertise them here, its a fast route to a ban.
Here we go, pictures to go with explanation. D15 mesh is what we see: This is what the game sees though: And this is what the game sees for both the grand marshal and the BMW: EDIT: And a random bolide from where I imported the wrong screenshot, ignore.
If you are referring to Jalkku then you are mistaken, Jalkku is working on his own currently unreleased one. Drowsysams, well, not great, he took that one down himself.
Sadhawk (imported from here) Anyone know how I can get it to retrieve a Steam screenshot and reference locally without also uploading to Imgur? :/
Steam stores them on your hard disk somewhere. If you open the steam screenshots window, set the dropdown by "Show:" to beamNG.drive, it should have a show on disk button at the bottom.
What is the hairbrained reason that the in-game overlay's screenshots menu lacks the view on disk function, but the client's has it? A la the Burnout 3: Takedown box art
For those who dont understand, i highly suggest NOT clicking this link unless you really want to know https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxxajLWwzqY (Shit music alert)
Hello everyone, this image only the Gavri T75 and reaches 11-14FPS, anyone of you know how I can increase the FPS? will I have to change some of my hardware, this is my computer: Processor: AMD Phenom X4 850 3.3GHz Motherboard: Biostar MCP6P M2+ Memory: 4GB 2X2GB DRR2 Video card: GeForce 9800 GT 1GB DRR3 Power: Thermaltake TR2 600W I think it goes well with the processor, I do not own much budget so if I hesitate improve you video card or adding more memory? I can roughly 180$usd
Remember, this is the experimental build. Optimization will be sure to come, the devs are great at what they do. If you need more fps now, you can use it without the "Day Cab" option, it'll increase ~15-25 fps. It's not really something you need to buy new hardware for imo.
You should be able to pull out more fps than that, have you tried running the game in fullscreen mode? I get about 25-30% more fps on same settings in fullscreen instead of windowed mode!
