hey, i'm looking for a someone who could help me turn a couple of my automation cars into full fledged vehicles with working doors, glass, interiors, universal wheel hubs, and more! anyone want to help? (mainly just giving the car actual windows atm)
Not sure why Automation chose BeamNG to do it though, seems like a waste of the soft body physics you've spent so long working on. But hey, if that's what they want to do, it's their business and their choice. All I'm saying is that it seems like a waste of all the soft-body physics development to have the Automation cars deform so poorly.
I'm guessing they chose BeamNG because this is really the only game with the level of freedom needed to do what they wanted, plus they're both in-development indie games, so this is a win-win for both companies. Also, how is it a waste of the soft-body physics? It's not like the quality handmade jbeams are going anywhere with this collaboration; this is just more community created content for this game, which is always good in my opinion.
If you play for the deformations/don't like Automation cars, stick to the BeamNG cars then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Automation cars are not really made for crashing (please do not miss/ignore the point where all this stuff is all automatically generated in a few seconds, don't compare that to vehicles that are meticulously hand-made by us in range of months!). It's more for the part where you bring to life your Automation creations and etc etc. One could also take advantage of this tool possibilities to create more 'fully-fledged' vehicles, like some modders are already doing (which is actually pretty interesting)
