Here is idea for someone who is bored, I have no time:

 

Don't quite get idea of stanced vehicles, they are so difficult to live with:

Good thing is that Beam allows all kind of variety to be played with.

 

The 2001 off-road racing game 1nsane from Invictus was one of my favourite racing games back in the day. I'm not sure if BeamNG is the right platform for this kind of race, but I made a scenario anyway.

Spent whole 10 minutes to make a speedbump:

 

I can now drive an Oldsmobile Delta 88 at an acceptable height of over 3 ft 6 inches. It's very nice to be able to see over the steering wheel in the interior camera.

 

Hooning around a D-Series was a lot more fun than I thought it would be

 

I only have one issue with this mod, and that is that I didn't download it earlier.

 

Silly experiment while could not get sleep.


Problem is these two which would need to be moved and probably one more loop to be added:


Then tarpaulin, it is annoying to make work properly, it could be kinda easy to make it solid and not tarpaulin like, but generally I don't really have much time to spend on it, only reason I did that much was because could not sleep, not much interest to finetune jbeam etc. but if someone wants to continue it you can PM me.

Skeleton is kinda skeleton like now, so it is just tarpaulin thing then I guess.


I have set it just to be solid thing now so skeleton sticks trough a bit and it deforms in these panel like chunks, also does not flap around when driving, but maybe CPU friendlier:


Maybe I need rename that bit, but it is additional modification for large box trailer:


Stuff may also stick inside of it as soft side of coltris, but I'm not too keen on doubling node count just to have another set of coltris.

I know you're not too keen to keep working on it, and I would take over the project if I had the skill, but it would be awesome to see this slightly improved and released

If you ever have some more spare time I would encourage you to keep working on it, although obviously it's your mod and your spare time so I can't force you to do anything.

OT:

 

I have way too many projects that needs finishing, that was just something I quickly hacked together between attempts of sleeping, too many pains to sleep again.
