Yep, and It was based on a Renault engine from an older car afaik, so it was effectively a Renault engine. Which means its French. Which is bad news for any engine.

Hey, cool. You don't have to keep it stock btw. There are Stage 2 and 3 engine upgrades, Also not every DeLorean has the stock engine, I personally know about three people that have dropped in LS1 engines. There are quite a few twin turbos as well.
Also the power to weight ratio is fairly good. A stock Delo weighs about 40 kgs less than a new corolla. If you put a V6 into a corolla you might actually enjoy driving it. The Delorean also has the most advanced Lotus wishbone frame for it's time, I have personally out cornered all wheel drive Sti's, and I love taking it on windy roads. It will never drop in value, only increase. I am converting to the stage 3 along with several other things. I have to put up with armchair experts every time I take it out.

To keep on topic beacuse this isn't General Car Discussion, I still had some pics of this model that was on this angry forum a while back, several members trashed this guy who had released it as a WIP and as a result, like many others, he never returned. It was just slapped on the Bolide Jbeam, he said he was going to fix it up, but he never got the chance.

So jop, crydev and I Took this old mod , changed Name and everything that the car dont replaces the bolide , we are foxing up no Texture bugs and try to create a own/modified bolide jbeam for it. I think it Would be cool to drive a delorian in the game

 

Obviously it's not driving right in this video, but at the moment it's in the "fine tuning" stage. Got the weight at around 560kg, which means getting things rigid is a tedious process.
