even if you didnt like them thats not how you should act to peoples hard work being broken. i should know that pretty well... OT:
hard work as in copied and pasted a forza mesh into a jbeam that loosely fitted it, then changed the materials a little so they werent all messed up and called it a day? fine.. "hard work". i would have guessed you would have known better since you actually put real effort into your mods but alright. Im not having that argument again OT: Lets Go Boating: Season 2
Not trying to start an argument here, but just because something is a meshslap, doesn't automatically classify it as a demon trying to kill you. If people like the mod, they like it! It shouldn't aggravate you that they exist or make you happy when they break. Its a mod, like every other. You don't know what they had to do, or the depth of some mods that are blind to the naked eye. The meshslap 350z is actually really nice, its in Agent's Meshslap Pack 1. Dissing other peoples hard work like that, in such a blatant manner, isn't cool dude. OT: random image on my hard drive of the game since I'm too busy fixing problems in 0.20
Tom Araya from Slayer's take on the meshslap thing: TOTAL F*CKING VICTORY! Yes, meshslaps. BURN! F*CKING BURN! OT: Pfp post.
listen guys i'm not trying to start an argument here but let me bring up a topic that everyone argues about and cause more arguments logic
Well, I don't know. A bunch of innocent people have been bullied by meshslaps. Maybe they are demons. /s
ok fine. we're doing this now despite your request. "meshslap" to me has never been a derogatory term, like you use it. Look at some of Tsu's stuff. the Mustang and GTR both used outsourced meshes, but overall were quality enough to be enjoyable, and even deformed pretty dang well. Yannis makes some pretty nice stuff also. and that CTK you like to use, could also be considered a meshslap, but we arent getting into that now. Thats what i meant. the stuff that we all generally accept as shit is accepted as shit within the meshslap community, generally speaking. There are a select few outliers that do exactly what you said and parade around their "creation" likes its the second coming of Christ when its clearly a twingo on a H-Series jbeam. Besides, meshslaps are a great way to learn how to do stuff. i didnt start modding with a meshslap because they werent popular back then. but if i was starting now, i would. You get to make a car, no matter the quality, to how you like it. As long as you dont say its the greatest thing since the ozone layer its fine. Your constant attacks and unprovoked comments on meshslaps are ignorant and rude. i suggest you stop it now. OT:
stop shutting down healthy discussions. as long as everyone remains civil you have no right to say that. OT:
No, if that were true the guys who churn out dozens of them a month would actually be making something of reasonable quality and I'd have upwards of 130 mods instead of only 70 when is your first post that isn't annoying going to happen
I did rate agree at first, but honestly, I feel that this is a topic that needs to be talked about. Calmly, so no flamewar, but both parties should present their points and explain if they are for or against meshslaps. It would help us, as a community. OT: lol
people can choose to just, never move on from making meshslaps also? your argument is just as flawed as mine. ClassicMike even told me he learned some stuff improving the DS4 (he didnt make it entirely). helped him work on WBIMP with me quite a bit tbh OT:
Yeah. The dude went from claiming he only know how to do a small texture to merging models, fixing steering wheels, adding sounds, reflections, wheels, etc. He's a great example of learning from meshlaps. I gotta learn sometime too lol oe teee her is gage custr
so basically the same stuff you learn doing any other modding related task, only it has negative stigma for being the same method of modding that notorious russian sites use wowy how useful
well, yeah. meshslaps are just one way of doing. i never said they were the only way. I can see why so many people do them though. they get to add a car of their choice to the game. and ive asked a few of them, they all really dont care if it doesnt drive/deform well. again, as long as they dont parade it around, i have no issue. OT:
