yep while i didn't make the DS4, i improved it a bunch and learned some stuff along the way i decided to mess with it because it's very close to my IRL car, and i didn't want to spend ages making a car from scratch (may do it at some point tho) I still have lots of stuff to learn, and will make the dynamique from scratch again whenever i get motivated enough. OT:
Classic Mike. Like how Kueso said, it's just one way. If they are proud of their work, leave them be. I don't see the problem besides making trailers for them and flexing them hard, and then in the end saying its private. I'd just say whether the mod is private, or public. I don't think its a big issue. OT: diagnosing
Well thats the most civilized response ive gotten from the other side of the argument. The thing im seeing here that varies the most is our definition of what a meshslap is. I wouldn't classify the Mustang, or the CTK to be meshslaps. Yes the mesh was outsourced, (And stolen sometimes, which is wrong.), but at the end of the day, the jbeam was modified and fits the body well, and most if not all features work (some even overdo it with the features.) I got absolutely no problem with those, in fact, i think its a little insulting to define them as meshslaps. My problem is with the literal definition of meshslaps, which is taking a mesh and slapping it on a jbeam, and calling it a day. My constant attacks are towards those people, the ones that, as you put it, "parade around their "creation" likes its the second coming of Christ when its clearly a twingo on a H-Series jbeam". Again, with your last point, the thing is that the people that are learning how to make mods through mesh slaps arent treating them like if they were the next best thing after sliced bread. OT: Also to everyone that wants to take part into this debate, please please keep it civil. I do not want to make the work of our staff harder by turning this thread into a warzone. we are having a nice conversation about a topic we disagree about. If the audience of this forum is as mature as it likes to pretend to be, this shouldnt be difficult
Not me? damn bruh, f Not: civilized But yeah, I agree, with your writing. We thought you were talking about the decent ones. OT: cutie pie
From what I can tell. They're complaining about forza jbeams from Russian sites or whatever. Maybe they wouldn't be so hard on them if they weren't from Russian sites and didn't have those "forza jbeams" they hate. Oh wait, I think the guy 2 posts above me explained it well. OT:
so it just boiled down to us having different definitions of "meshslap", as i kinda saw coming. I dont want to continue this any further Also Dazy has a point about the whole negative stigma. thats part of the reason i get so pissed at the people who, like i said, "parade around their "creation" likes its the second coming of Christ when its clearly a twingo on a H-Series jbeam". OT: repost
Yeah, it was just a misunderstanding turned tiny quarrel. OT: the little steelie is poking out uwu cute
also another problem of people who "parade around their "creation" likes its the second coming of Christ when its clearly a twingo on a H-Series jbeam" is that they make kids beg for them: bruh OT: not a meshslap
I don’t have a problem with meshslaps, or private mods, or Russian mods. People are able to use whatever they like, and create whatever they like, as long as it fits community guidelines. I have spoken. OT:
Feel free to not answer, or even get mad at me. XD But is the Lada car pack a meshslap in your opinion? --- Post updated --- OT: Automation car. And, I'm probably screwed. I feel angry cartoon guy's wrath coming on.
I assumed everyone had the same definition of a meshslap being "A mesh slapped on a jbeam". And thats why i kept going and going about them being horrible mods and was terrified of the response i was getting, almost as if they had gotten normalized. Today i discovered that as it turns out, they didnt get normalized, it was just that to some people the definition of meshslaps also covered "outsourced mesh" mods (as in, they used a mesh from a different game but modified the jbeam and made it work right in game). In my opinion, calling these mods meshslaps is doing them a disservice. "Outsourced Mesh" mods are real mods, Meshslaps are not. Mesh slaps, as in "a mesh slapped on an unmodified jbeam" should not be normalized. But im glad this little disagreement is over. OT: someone stole my tires! cant have shit in detroit...
In my opinion i would say the Lada Pack is right on the edge between the two. Full of content, everything works, but the jbeam is a bit questionable. OT: I got a need... a need for brown
Hi, thank you for giving me constructive criticism. Also, thanks for answering my question about the Lada thing. Just curious, are you mad at me or no? OT: Repost.
Im going to be if you keep bugging me about it. Just keep it chill man. OT: Well the good news is that with the little WH axles fix, the I Series wagon keeps going through yet another update.
