    What I did was go into free cam and position the cam, then took a photo of the main car, then hid everything but the suspension and engines (without moving the cam) using the parts selector, then took another screenshot and then layered these two pictures on top of each other with the top one being the one showing everything. Then I simply turned down the visibility of this picture to 50%
