As of 2023, 49-year-old Roderick Hatch of Stuttgart, Germany has driven his 2003 Ibishu Hopper past the 1 million mile mark. Hatch, a route mapper, uses it as a work vehicle to drive all over Europe and often into Asia, but he also takes it on road trips and vacations with his family. The car still runs like new, with the only issues being purely cosmetic and, according to Hatch, "keine große sache". There is no rust on the frame, and very few dents and scratches. He has no plans to sell the car in the future, and says it would be impossible to give something like this up.
