Escaping the police with 1/4x speed and then speeding the footage back up. In a way, it feels like cheating, but it also makes the replay funnier, as you just fly by the bridge with smoke and all.
I had to recreate this race with my current knowledge, mainly because the last version lacked motion blur. As an idea, it's just worth a remake if you ask me. This time I went for a more “in your face” style of editing, as the sheer thrill of a race doesn’t seem to be as interesting for people. Overall it seems impossible to completely avoid pile-up crashes using the Script AI Manager. The AI will literally follow whatever path you’ve driven, including corner cuts. So if one car gets stuck either by accidentally hitting a tree, or trying to get back to a line that it follows, pile-ups seem inevitable. This time I made the cars leave 10 seconds after each other, yet only 3 out of 10 racers made it to the top. Oh and the Earth gravity is still out of the question, as the gravel is too slippery for those high speeds (maybe unless you're a good drifter, which I'm not).
