I answered this question somewhere... Here you go "BeamNG collision works by 'triangles', defined by 3 nodes each, those triangles do not work very well, nodes can pass through them easily and get stuck on the other side, causing it to break everything and glitch out. The devs are working on adding 'thickness' to the triangles so it will collide properly and act more like a solid, instead of glue "
Well, not exactly... they have a "direction" - you have to list the nodes counter-clockwise for it to face outwards. The outwards face is nearly impenetrable, but if a node even touches the underside, it goes through and gets stuck on the outside, unable to go back in (because the outer face is impenetrable). If we gave the col tris thickness inwards, and equal impenetrability (there's basically no collidable inner surface), it would mostly solve the problem. For example, you would be able to carry a car in the cargo box of the H45 Cabster without it sliding through the walls and getting stuck. The rear wheels of the H45 would also not get stuck through the floor when they hit hard.
Still works very poor on the Catapult. All the tri's are the correct way, but yet it'll breaks things and glitch out sometimes. The main thing is that it instantly makes the wheels explode before the suspension even gets a chance to work. As you see in the video, when i crush the car, it passes through and gets stuck.
I'm gonna become physically dependent on this game the day that fix is implemented. Already booking a stay at a rehab clinic.
Tim, in this video your moments.(again crap channel modsgaming) Crp strike. http://youtu.be/p7M5O3Lvhg4
Tried to get DrowsySams Monster Truck on two wheels, its a lot of fun! No doubt with a bit of practice you could do much better than my poor attempts, give it a go! EDIT* Just after making the video above, i made another attempt, see how it went!
Cross-post Are 6 wheels better than 3? Is man faster then machine? Are you even reading this?? We shall find out.. Together. A bit of catapult destruction at the end as well. Here is a tutorial I made on how to use the waypoints mod to create your own path like in my video above Cheers
http://youtu.be/zmS0rtTyrjU Not sure how to add this like everyone else.. I didn't put anytime into using this. I used Nvidia Shadowplay to record the gameplay.
Just heard about the game today, and had to get the early acces imidiately =) So I'm new here, and the vid is a quick scrible, I plan to do more content in the future, and otherwise I'm very enthusiastic with the product itself!
