I think it might be a neat feature to be able to move a controller thumbstick clockwise and counter clockwise to steer rather than only using left/right. Letting the thumbstick snap to center would return the driving angle to center. This would not only allow for finer control of steering angle, but also a more direct correlation to a steering wheel.
