The wheels need some touching up - they're awfully shaky as of now, and the truck tends to flip over more easily than your average Ford Explorer... The body + a simplified meshfile is in the attachments. No beams, just a simple mesh-sticking-on-the-chassis...
Looks great! Downloading now! --- Post updated --- Ok, so there goes a potential fix to wobbling. Lowering the per-node friction attribute of the tires won't do, now I'm stuck over here... Too much slip on muddy surfaces, rolling back... BTW, great job with the map!
alright i will fix those things yes it was my map http://beamng.com/threads/monster-jam-world-finals-2011.18555/
could you try making it dirt instead of mud? the only MJ tracks that get muddy (from what i've seen on TV) is the ones in Florida
Oh, your track is probably fine, it's my experimental truck that can't drive straight on it! And it's back to the drawing board again... BTW, do you think it could be possible to add vehicle props/obstacles?
I just wanted to tell you huge thanks for picking up the basic mod and continuously working on the truck, it's one of my favourite mods at the moment. Keep up the good work!
If you're using my updated version, you can't. There's only one option available, and it's the steerable rear axle. I've disabled hydros for the custom rear axle you can find in the attachments, just add it to the mod folder/archive and select the new rear axle from the parts selector. EDIT - Attachment removed (Incorrect file)
I really love the works that's been done on this mod so far, can't wait to see what comes in the future for it! I tried making an arena in the Derby Arenas map but what we really need is a dirt ramp object because the metal ones aren't wide enough lol
I usually put two of them next to one another. They're just about right for the CRD monster truck. I remember once making a simple, widened variant of the ramp, with just a basic, X-axis upscaling, but... I can't remember what went wrong in the process... Now I have better knowledge of the COLLADA format, so I might give it another try and create a decent ramp in Blender. I mean, upscaling a wedge can't be THAT difficult, ain't it? I'll see what I can do for that! --- Post updated --- Sure, why not? Noted for future updates!
