Only partially. For a couple of reasons: - Attaching anything to that spaceframe is a nightmare. - I've gone through beaming the body multiple times, and then always gave up. Deformation was nice, but never realistic. Much like real monster trucks, all the bodies are fairly simple, single mold shells. Never designed to support deformation, and it shows. Besides, one of the characteristics of fiberglass is its innate resiliency. It's kinda difficult to get fiberglass to deform permanently. Pushed to the limit, it fractures. Very hard to simulate that in BeamNG. Either I let the body deform as if it was made of sheetmetal, or I could maybe disable broken body surfaces via meshBreaking, but that would look odd. So I opted for undeformable bodies with very basic beam supports up to now. Next step is to make all overhanging parts breakable, like the front clip. That's what you see coming off most frequently in real life.
Oh kk, I tried to do that with the dragster that i made so i understand the issues here. Im sure i could help tho.
Thanks! I'm doing this with @Matchbox201 right now. Work is well underway. I'll keep that in mind in case we need help. --- Post updated --- Mister, I'm afraid you might have a ruptured fuel cell right there...
No worries. All CRD trucks will come equipped with a fire safety handle. When activated, this handle will instantly deploy two onboard fire extinguishers that are pointed directly at the engine. This provides another level of safety so the driver can smother any flames as soon as they are aware of them. A separate standalone fire extinguisher is in the cab and available for the driver to use also. (not really, but that is what the real trucks have) Yes - Clear your cache if you are having problems with textures.
if you guys want skins and bodies, here's a link to a bunch of them http://beamng.com/threads/paint-jobs.33370/
Should be there, I'll check it out. The preset for this truck was renamed, something must have gone wrong. Sorry.
Glad it's solved. I'll upload a minor update in a few hours, including some modified info files + a quick fix for a malfunctioning breakGroup.
i got some ideas for new trucks, spikey max-d (chrome), higher education, gas monkey, and war wizard (blue)
the spikey maxD will have to wait till we have a working willmans chassis, higher education might be a long ways off as well, and war wizard needs a body and UV map and i'll be able to put it in
They would all require a different chassis. Maybe in the future. Once the PEI chassis is implemented, Gas Monkey Garage (one of my favourites) will likely be among the very first trucks I'll be adding.
ive always wondered are we going to ever make any kind of flag for the trucks you know like the flag gd usually has so on so forth
