Creating Barriers with the Forest Tool

    I apologize if this has been asked before. I used all of my skills of Google-fu and searching forums here and could not find an answer.

    I noticed that on the dirt track in West Coast USA, the barriers are placed using the forest tool. However, when I try to create my own using the forest tool on the same map, the barriers are randomly oriented.

    How was this done?

    Edit: This is accomplished by placing the elements down and then manually moving them using the select tool in the forest tool sub-menu
