I was wondering how one would achieve the camera angles in this segment of the video:

The covets--the camera is locked onto the vehicle.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

That was a custom camera (like the fender camera, but different position and nodes).

So there's really no simple way to do that?

Open main Jbeam, go to the camera section and create a new one with your own coordinates and the appropriate nodes to attach to.

Yep, there's my problem. I have no idea what any of that means.

Alright I know where to find the node numbers, but I'm not sure what I would use for the coodinates. Is it just trail and error until I get the right position? Also, what would determine what nodes I use?

You can get the coordinates from Blender. Just import the dae model, and place a cube where you want the camera to be and copy it's coordinates.
Then select the closest nodes to that to make the camera stable.

OK, so I want to make like a underbody suspension view camera. Like pictured below:

So I would probably want to use nodes in the red circles, right? Would I need to add some from the yellow to make it more stable or would just the red work?

Alright, messed it up the first time and the car turned invisible and the camera was unmovable. Turns out I forgot a comma. Fixed that, and now this is what i have:

The pickup isn't messed up anymore but when I cycle through the cameras, it's just not there.
This is in pickup_body.jbeam since there was no camera section in pickup.jbeam. Is that the problem?

Yes, because the nodes that you specified are not in that jbeam file.
That's what I assume atleast.

They dont have to be in that specific file. They just have to be present on the vehicle.

That means the node isn't on the vehicle. You probably misspelled it
(fr194 should be fr19l or fr19r?)

Yep, that was the problem. Now, the camera seems too low though. I'm doing a bunch of trial and error right now, I'll keep updating.

Alright, I think I've found the problem, but I'm not sure how to fix it. If I hit "I", the camera falls from the original position and ends up getting dragged around by the truck. I've tried different sets of nodes, but it has the same outcome--the camera falls. Is there any way I can fix this?

Copy those Beam values
sPsJr3G.jpg

before your camera, and increase them. It will make the beam connecting to your camera stronger.
