Possibly remove the lights and mirror glass as well. Obviously leave the frames, but just remove/texture out the actual mirror bit? What I remember seeing of a few bangers at my local fair a few years ago was that all glass/plexiglass had to be removed, and I noticed many of the bangers also had the interiors largely gutted as well, but that didn't seem to be a requirement for entry.

I'll look into that later right now I am busy but I can do it at another time

when I do for my sake I am gonna clone the driver door and make the 2nd one have the numbered texture and than set up the jbeam file so that it will be an OPTION :p:cool:;)

    Number 4?

    why not 6677:cool:

but really I'd like to know what is so special about that number?

i'll do it but I just want to know.

I won't remove lights for reason I can't really explain I just feel it would be annoying to have no lights, yes the trucks glass windows are physically removed from the truck.
however Idk if I want to get rid of them lights as any banger racetracks you would have them on wouldn't likly have lights and if they did it would be great because than it would be okay to removed them 2nd it would also kinda cause issues if the vehicle had no lights and you wanted to night drive in it since many uses tend to use cars for purposes other than what the build was intended to be used for.

Alright I am gonna strip the interior and have lights be an option.
I thought up a way to do that.

okay so the stripped interior is default but can be re-added if desired now but I need to do a crappy seat for the driver to sit in that isn't the stupid bench seat.

I can give you some tires if you want them, and maybe some help with textures.

    Looks cool so far :)

I'd recommend you put some more polys into the mirrors as they look really out of place on a high-poly car. Another thing I'd fix is the colour, just lower the saturation on the blue texture as its a bit fake and bright looking and it should look miles better. And try blending the rust with a different colour, such as on the rear bumper you want to give it some black or grey patches were paint could have been or bits that the rust hasn't reached yet. Otherwise a really well done mod :D

I honestly have no idea what to do anymore I have to make a fuelcell I have to redo texutres, I have to make a racing seat, I have to adjust door jbeams which reqire a major overhaul

I need to make the rear jbeam accurate for the bumper

I need to model this I need to model that, I feel like I am redoing everything, I am way in over my head with this I am really gonna have to step back and relook at this now..

What I am doing right now is deleting the garbage that isn't reqired like headlights front face taillights interior and such, and i'm gonna make a racing seat battery and steering rod for the interior than look into jbeams and such and see what to do from their.

How is this for textures I know their imperfect but I mean it's a derby car.

Please note... doors are currently removed due to attempts to weld to frame.

    Back

I'm gonna make the body and bed have different rusty textures that are good enough for the demanding mesh to be covered by

I kinda like this a little more, I just don't see why it needs to be so rusty :p . I think that you should weld the doors and hood on... That will help the strength quite a bit. And I mean all the body seems should be welded so that it's basically one solid mass, as soon as the fenders and hood and doors start to go, it starts bending stuff a lot faster

    Re: Slayer's D15 Derby

Already plan to weld the doors

tailgate is welded and is made so the weld will although seldom, sometimes break off but usually it just acts like one solid mass and the back is amazingly strong as a result.

What about the front? Because if you use the ass, it always bends between the cab and the box anyway, at least when I derby it lol.

Plus, I'm a mopar guy, and those cars are all unibody cars, they don't take it in the rear too well

That rust is a bit on heavy side, try to not give it so much rust and go for something like this with some detail.

I'll try but expect hours of work to accomplish that from my current texture setup
