This fix does still work perfectly fine, seeing as I use it all the time in combination with the CEEP mod and various other D-Series mods.
Steering wheel under the car.. Reminder: - Change steering wheel to default. - No download Pics: Name of steering wheel:
The only Bulldog I can find is a MOD for the H-Series, and that mod hasn't been updated since Dec 7th, 2021, so maybe try not using old mods that haven't been updated in 3 years. There's another D-Series mod that's outdated and will conflict with the OldStyle Steering Wheels added in by the D-Series Addon. Try finding that mod and deleting it and that will solve your steering wheel issue. Also, if you're using the original D-Series Addon by AR16 and not this fix you will get the broken steering wheels as well as not having the openable D-Series Addon doors, tailgate and hoods.
Yeah H-Series Also if considering update time, AR162B's mods are way older than Bulldog Also the Bull dog works perfectly with any other mods, so why it's its problem
This "Unofficial fix" is an update for the D-Series Addon, which fixed the old outdated and busted code, and gave the Old-style parts the Openable features. The reason for it affecting the Bulldog is because the Bulldog mod is barrowing D-Series Coding, and when the D-Series got updated in one of the more recent big updates it broke the Original D-Series Addon which is why that one, gives the busted steering wheels and why the hoods deform and spike oddly, this "Unofficial Fix" by Automica fixed that. However, due to the more recent changes in Code until the Author of the Bulldog updates their mod, it will still conflict with the D-Series Addon, and it will still conflict with the Unofficial Fix.
Can you fix the steering wheel? If so thanks (also mind if i do like a little yk? update looking thing next)
What I'd like to know is: What causes the black interior to be so extremely dark, and why does 'Nissan murano' have this issue, while 'Truck-truckin-truck' doesn't seem to have it (compare the color of the floor with the door panels and all the rest). I think I have this issue with some other old mods too (one of the school buses ... FS-65 I think). Seeing someone who apperantly doesn't have this issue gives me hope of finding a fix... Does anyone know what the cause of it is?
Looks great, but there are a few parts like the bumpers, taillights and I think the front fascia where it doesn't seem to work. Could you add pbr to those as well? Also, I just noticed that in the screenshot of the Oldstyle police SUV you posted the black interior seems to work fine. As described in my previous post, for me the black interior is much to dark (like in the post by 'Nissan murano' I quoted there). Do you know the cause of that issue?
Check to make sure which Black Interior it is you have selected, because there is a D-Series mod that adds Darker Brown Interior and Darker Black Interior, so check to see if you have the Darker Black Interior selected (I believe the Darker colored Interiors are from CEEP). Also that's not an Old Style Police SUV, that's just a truck with a canopy/camper on it.
I only have one Black interior selectable. The mod you're speaking of which adds Darker Brown and Blue is 'Gamer!'s Ultimate Pickup Parts'. I deactivated that mod, even cleared the cache, but the Black interior still looks to dark. At least the Green interior which is part of the mod discussed in this thread (by ar162b) works now (it conflicted with the Green interior from Gamer!'s mod). And regarding the "SUV": I used the wrong term. I meant the police truck in the screenshot is clearly a config from ar162b's mod and the Black interior in that screenshot has the correct color (i.e. not to dark). I called it 'Oldstyle' because many parts from this mod use that term. Here are some pictures of all the interiors as they look on my side:
I went back and looked at the actual original page for the D-Series Addon by AR162b and even in a screenshot from back in a 2020 update the Black interior was just as black as it is now. So I'd say it doesn't matter at all. In my one Screenshot that I was showing the steeringwheel not being janked, the "black interior" in that screenshot wasn't the black interior, it was the "Burnside Grey interior" from the Burnside Lakewood mod for the D-Series which gives a slightly darker shade of Grey to the D-Series Addon parts such as the oldstyle door panels, oldstyle dashboard, and oldstyle seats. in the screen shot I shared, if I was using a black interior the more modern seats would have appeared black as well. However, the "Burnside Black Interior" looks perfectly okay, even on the Oldstyle parts. So you could just use that interior instead of the "Black Interior"
Thanks for looking into it. So the Black interior was always that dark (and the floor only slightly brighter (it was the mismatch between the two I don't like). It seems the floor got a retexturing at some point, because there are no floor mats visible on the first screenshot you posted, while they're always there on new screenshots and it seems to be a little bit brighter. Anyway, the Burnside Black Interior definitely looks more consistent. Thanks for the reference to that mod! Another issue I want to mention here regarding the D-Series Addon by AR162b is a problem with the Oldstyle Backlight. It deforms the roof of the truck. Does anyone else also have this issue? Interestingly, the Gavril Durham mod also has this issue for me with its normal Backlight. So maybe some mod conflict on my side...
