last few days i havent been working much on the mod. what i have done is tweaking the front driven suspension some more and i made deep dish steel wheels. besides that i recieved from @Big Papa Wombat a few tweaked and new parts. these parts are: tweaked rear low coilovers. Z-compound Tires for the Folk deep dish rims (for drifting) A V8 engine tune for drifting and also a drift differential with Dog Box Transmission. Drift coilovers. A new color will be added: Wombat Purple There will also be 3 new presets compiled by @Big Papa Wombat. this will be available in the next update. (not sure when this will be though )
Sweet steelies, man. I love the look of non-rusted steel wheels. What will the drift coilovers be like? Lower than the Low Coilovers? I know that professional drifters prefer their rear wheels to be flat on the ground (little to no camber, but as low as it can get) with the front wheels having excessive camber for extra grip while sideways in the corner. Keep up the great work!
@Violetta to answer your question on the drift suspension is in not lower than the low setup, and actually higher (in some regards) than the race coils. While a low ride height is important to having a low center of gravity and mass many other aspects including some you spoke on come far before that in importance for this application. And by 'this application' I mean drifting, but not skidding around in a parking lot, all the parts I made are for pro level drifting, race cars. So the suspension has a lot of rear rake (great for rear grip and stability), as well it's as low as it can be in the rear without hindering a few things those being: having an effective ground clearance, having effective clearance withing the vehicle, and maintaining a stable amount of stress on the suspension components. What I mean by the rear rake is the front end is significantly higher than the rear, this generates better rear end grip and a does many things to your weight distribution (due to physics this can change at different states due to the rake) and if you were wonder yes most pro level race cars used for drifting have significant rear rake. For the ground clearance plain and simple while some think it's "cool bro cool" to scrape, that's not efficient for racing. For the internal clearance the biggest thing is i wanted the rear to be able to squat for improved grip and stability under acceleration. And for maintaining stable stress you have to remember this chassis is not "race ready" I have to make this stuff is not going to rip the car apart (yes I went through previous iterations and it tear the car apart). To sum up this suspension is not at all for a missile car, this a is pro level layout, and rightfully so it is on the pro level drift car preset as you will see in the upcoming release, and all the things i stated this suspension improving are absolutelynecessary. Basically if the stock game's drift preset is a bottle rocket, my pro level "race spec" drift preset is the Saturn 5, it is truly a monster like nothing else (that's realistic) you will drive in BeamNG. And if anyone, including yourself, has anymore questions feel free to @ me.
I Don't know if you're still taking ideas... But, a short rear end is a cool idea... Put the slicks on with a drag setup and it becomes a fun wheelie car!
today i made a low mount spoiler. it uses the same wing as the GT wing but with new arms. sorry for teasing
The newest update to this mod seems to kill my games FPS. It goes down from 60 to 15. I've confirmed that it's your mod because removing the zip of it from the mods folder makes my FPS go back up again.
oh thats a problem 0.0. i havent experienced such thing though. and i also have no idea how to fix something like that x.x.
