WIP Beta released Death Road 1.1

    Well, you don't have to anymore. :)

    Released the WIP version of the map just now, it's missing some details, like some of the guard rails, potholes and other decals, and a few trails aren't quite finished. I also plan on adding more trails on top of those.

    The release is in the first post, have fun!

    Great looking map. I haven't discovered everything yet but I'm enjoying it so far. Two things I noticed already though:
    - Guard rails have no textures
    - There's no path from the hangar to the airstrip thing (although you can just drive over the grass obviously)

    I am really enjoying the map though, I honestly think it's one of the best custom maps I've downloaded. Great job.

    EDIT:

    Also I found a tree laying on one of the dirt tracks. It looks good, but the collision thing for the tree is quite rough and I couldn't make it over it (wasn't driving an offroad vehicle though)

    I love this map dude! Very very very good job! I drove around it a few times and i wanted to try to make a drift video, I did pretty bad and my AMD processor sucks for video record. Maybe next time i'll use Nvidia's Shadowplay..

    Thanks for pointing that stuff out man, uploading the missing textures now.

    The taxi ways are supposed to just be grass/dirt, I gotta add some dirt decals so it looks used.

    The tree was intentional, that part of the road is supposed to be pretty treacherous.

    Really glad you guys like it, gonna finish adding stuff and polishing up the map over the next couple weeks.

    this is probably my favorite map so far! Or atleast until East Coast USA comes out lol. Still i love the roads and the scenery!

    KiloHotel this map is an absolute blast to drive around! In addition to the improvements that you've mentioned that you would like to do to the map; I think it would be beneficial to 'widen' or 'add' tire track textures on the dirt road sections where it switch-backs upon itself. Just in some of the small cars and definitely with the larger trucks I am driving off the road surface a ways to make the turn and likely there would be signs of other people doing the same thing. So far it's a blast. :cool:

    Awesome map! Just wondering, but how many off-road tracks are there? I have found three and a half technically, there's the three on the switchback side of the dirt road, and the one on the far side of the housing complex that appears to be a WIP after the first few feet. Any replies are appreciated, thanks and awesome map!!

    Yeah I really skimped out on the trails so far, I think that's it.. There is also some half started trails near the housing complex, just kinda set the height for it and never smoothed it or put decals on it. Don't worry though, I'll add more :)

    I've observed that my game likes to crash a lot on this map. Usually happens when I spawn a car move it a little then stop for a while(minute or 2) then go. Or most commonly the curve before u can see the town below. I've crashed there many times.
