If it's accurate to the real life equivalent, which I assume it is, the top speed should be well above 88, so yes.

Truth is that I get tons of questions like these on Discord that aren't jokes. People think Deloreans can only reach 85 because the gauges stop at 85.

DeLorean DMC-12

The DMC-12 is DeLorean Motor Company's first and only production car. Its production lasted only 2 years and is to this day probably the most controversial vehicle ever known. Only ~9000 were built but they're known worldwide for their incredible story and appearance in what is considered to be the greatest film ever made.

This is my first go at making a scratch production car. I've been working on it for the past 2 months now and I felt like it would be a good time to make a thread for it.

- Scratch-made model : I made the model myself using Blender and finding as much reference as possible on the internet. The only things I reused are BeamNG assets and there aren't much of them.

- Back to the Future versions : What made the car so iconic is probably the Back to the Future movies, so I couldn't skip the opportunity to make a working time machine in Beam. (This is still heavily WIP, but it will be made and will be as accurate to the movies as possible.)
Yes, it time travels. No, it doesn't work perfectly yet. Yes it will eventually

- Twin-Turbo versions : Legend Industries was hired to build 5000 TT DeLoreans for 1984. Unfortunately DMC went bankrupt in 1983 (causing Legend to go bankrupt as well) and so TT DeLoreans never came to fruition. Based on various pics and info I could find, I did my best to recreate those kits.

- Scratch-made Jbeam : No, this is not just a Bolide under the skin ; the entire Jbeam is made from scratch by me, only reusing minor bits from vanilla vehicles where I needed to. It's been a great experience and, honestly, I'm pretty proud. Jbeaming this was way different than I originally thought.
Everything has been thought of : from the double-Y frame to the individual body panels.

Will this be released on the repository?
No. One of the reasons is that the Back to the Future stuff is trademarked, the other one is that I don't want to remove the DeLorean brand.

Will it be colorable/have the gold version?
No and it never will. Asking for it will only make it less likely.

Will the doors open?
They open just like on vanilla vehicles : nodegrabber. No lua involved in the doors.

Is it skinnable?
No.

Where can I download this?
Nowhere yet : it's still a work-in-progress. I made this thread to showcase the mod and shine some light on everyone's questions. It will be publicly available when it's ready.

Can you release it now?
No.

Can I beta-test it?
No.

This means you will be able to open the doors by pulling on them using the node grabber. You won't be able to open them using buttons
