Lol okay. Wasn't sure what you originally meant by not happening soon. Now I gotcha. Welded bumpers would be killer! And God that Burnside bends ugly as Sun!
I'll investigate about those and record some footage to examine it more. Welding bumpers can be advantage and disadvantage as well.
If there was a way to remove or suck in the bumper shocks on the moonhawk, and weld the bumper straight to the frame, I think that it wouldn't bend downwards so often up front.
I don't understand, that how you get the front of Moonhawk to bend downwards. That never occur on me, I always get it bend upwards like it should.
The front bumper goes down, but the frame stills bends up. Leaves your radiator exposed instead of protecting it.
Is it just me or does it really matter if the bumper is in front of the radiator or left exposed? I've ruined rads by just bumping into people and not damaging the tin lol
offtopic - Is it possible to move a radiator from outside to an interior of a car? and place it on the right of a driver seat
Well it would require knowledge about the game's assets, their position values and ton of complex work to be done. Definitely not an option right now propably, but as the project progresses more, we could investigate about this option. But, I dunno, that how good it would be to edit those sort of things, as it's not so realistic nor aunthentic to derbying. I dunno, that do they do those things in real life thou. At least that Node to Node feature will be looked upon this autumn, the feature is unstable now however, but it would be absolutely necessary thing to have, so that we can properly shut doors, hoods and trunk lids with that feature. Right now, they're very prone to open and that weakens the car from that section a lot, so definitely would need improvement for that issue at some point.
tru i hope they fix it likie put vans with vans trucks with trucks n make it like a real derbys heats n stuff
I'm really looking forward to this fix This scenario has pretty much been the only thing I've done in beam for the last few months. Things like this is what the game was designed for, and I'm surprised the developers haven't added anything like this mod into the stock game. Just before the update rolled out, I was making derby configurations of other modded cars, so I could use them in the this scenario, as my car. Just as I finished, the game crashed and it started updating when I reloaded it, so I'm eager to download the fixed version.
Full size vans would derby with full size trucks IRL as long as the vans and trucks are all 1/2 tons. Most places don't allow full size fans to derby simply because there is little between the driver's knees and the engine block which could severely injure someone. You have probably seen Astrovans and minivans get derbied which belong with compact trucks like Ford Rangers, Dodge dakotas etc... To answer your "realism" question DD. I have seen some places where they allow you to run radiators on the roof, But most water barrels inside the cockpit are just for heavy classes, not so much for chain/bone stock which we don't even have cars that good right now, which means we have less than even real life cars. But, I have seen Chain classes even with Radi-Barrles which are called steam tanks in the banger world, just a steel tank bolted to the core support in place of the radiator. Would like to see some cooling changing like that as well, but just want to see this Mod get updated again. Thanks for keeping us updated, boss.
did its hard to program a section like a Custom choose? Something like, you choose the place, the number of cars. Them after, you select the cars and the configuration for you and each opposant. With this way you can really do the derby you want, try the car you want. like new mod or cool car to crash that they are not in the preset.
Technically, this function was already apart of the mod. I don't know about changing the AI driven cars (never tried it), but if you pause the game after count down starts, you can go into the vehicle selector and choose whichever car and configuration you want for the car you drive in the scenario.Being that you can also tab over to the other cars, I don't see why they couldn't be changed the same way. Unlike other scenarios, where changing the vehicle brakes everything (makes it so the checkpoints don't update when hit, or the lap counter doesn't start), changing the car in this scenario didn't really have adverse effects. The AI cars still chase after you, and when they get crippled, they still get counted out properly. The only thing I noticed was that the player driven car wouldn't be counted out when immobilized - but if that happens, you're just going to reset the scenario anyway, so it doesn't really matter that much. But, of course, with the update all of this could change. ***** As a side note.... I spent two hours today, in the pouring rain, watching a demo derby at the local fair - there's no other way to get my derby fix, and that's becoming a problem.
Interesting, never tried it myself. I just edited the pool of cars that would get randomized, but your way sounds a lot easier. Of course, we're still unsure about the opponents' cars. I've chosen to suffer through the utter trash that is the stock chase AI, although finding demo stuff on YouTube does hold me over a bit.
