... with handbrake and cable grab clutch. This could be the first game with Cable Cars, which you can actually drive. But, let's see...
Yep, but if that did happen it sure would take a long time to do probably, but the next 2 or 3 updates would bring WCA, maybe
I wouldn't be too optimistic. While it is much farther along than Italy, it still has a long way to go. Mitch still has to design a whole downtown, industrial and residential area with buildings, props, the whole thing. Not to mention all the new trees they have to make, which seems to be all that hutch has been doing for italy. Plus, looking at the screenshots, the render distance seems very low. They probably still have to improve torque before they can release WCU at a playable framerate. Italy has barely been started. The terrain probably isn't even close to being finalized, hutch still has to finish all the vegetation, make roads for an entire 4km^2 map, buildings, other props, textures, everything. Italy probably won't be out for a whole year yet if Utah can be used as any baseline.
The West Coast map to me looks a bit like Tucson. Desert surround with a decent sized city and a concentrated downtown. Our tallest building apparently has 23 floors, with a few others around 20, and a bunch at 10. They're still big enough to be a landmark all across town, so it's looking pretty good. We also have a new cable car system.... you might have heard about it.
The west coast map would be great for role play! In my imagination I am hoping for multiplayer with role play servers where I can be a cop and chase people
Would be great to see a read about the process of photogrammetry in the devblog in the future. It's just a really interesting tech.
While it isn't Beam.NG the article below goes into detail on how the developers of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter used photogrammetry. http://www.theastronauts.com/2014/03/visual-revolution-vanishing-ethan-carter/
I expected something more related to Coca, for example "AndesCola", with Andes being the Geographic origin of the Coca plant.
Maybe it will be possible to transport fuel in career mode to fuel stations and receive money or just refuel some car.
It would be nice to have some competition to TastiCola, I mean something that use blue instead of red. Spoiler
