Remember that we haven't seen any pictures of the suburban areas yet, and certain sections of the urban/industrial centers appear to be currently empty. In addition, LFJHutch has shown how the progress pictures are carefully staged to demonstrate what the final project will eventually look like. These small patches of completion seem more intended to demonstrate the feel of the final map than to provide an estimate of how complete the map is as a whole. @B25Mitch hasn't confirmed whether or not his images are the same kind of vignettes as Hutch's, but I feel that its safe to assume that they are only representative of the map areas pictured. Only Mitch (and maybe a few other devs) know about the current state of the rest of the map.
We were complainaning about not enough dev shots, but now we're complaining about to much? BeamNG.forums+logic=no.
Could we get an ELI5 on this @stenyak? https://www.beamng.com/threads/micro-blog-s-2017.34617/#post-561528
Damnit, can't wait to get home and see what the replay update clip looks like Stenyak posted. Work PC's suck.
Hmm, that looks bit like molecular level stuff that I saw being calculated on GPU at early 2000, some scientist stuff, way above my head, but sold and installed hardware and chap was very exited about how fast it could do calculation compared to CPU's of that time.
I think they are designing a proper replay system, the hard way. This means that when watching a replay it would actually feature all of the individual pieces moving around the car. This probably will also help with saved damage models for the career mode and such. Not sure, but that's what I think.
i honestly can't wait for the D-series quad cab/crew cab/super crew/whatever you want to call it. and gabe was talking about how he doesn't want to deal with more frames and maintaining them. my solution that i thought of was just splitting the frame into 3 sections and just use node off-set so the piece of the frame for the long bed is the same but is off-set for other cabs like the crew cab, ext cab, and single cab. please give us a screenshot of something you are working on @gabester
Damn, those people who were moaning about too many dev's section screenshots (mainly Italy), are you happy now? It was much better when we could see progress every day
