Or gymkhana in the 200bx. I hope that work is being done to the game engine before this map is released.
I wouldnt mind the road, I think it looks amazing.. the only thing I dont like is the huge amount of barriers being used on the full lenght of the road. It prevents me going directly down destroying my car. Personally would place the barriers at the curves only.
I'd figure having a slightly angled collision mesh beneath the barriers could allow for a vehicle to go over them at high speed but still provide a barrier function. The angle would be slight enough to work but hardly noticable visually. Essentially the same effect as a jersey barrier. Pure speculation from an overworked mind.
In fact, we haven't seen an update post since January! If this isn't gonna be atleast near completion at the end of the year, I'm killing myself. not really
@LJFHutch Are those textured mesh roads for railings or how are you doing it? https://beamng.com/threads/italy-progress.24505/page-5#post-611921
I'm starting to feel Italy is going to come out first, seeing how many more screenshots are being posted.
I believe they are set into the heightmap with a bezier curve function in Blender. The guardrail is probably an independent mesh custom tailored to the road like in Utah. LJFHutch explains a lot of this in his mini tutorials.
That doesn't matter, i guess. The maps are made by two different people, one posts a lot of pics, one does not.
