Introducing the Charmand Cuatro Pickup uplift. The cheap worker's best friend, just don't place anything in the bed otherwise the suspension will collapse. We said cheap not quality
Work in progress test of sounds from Automation & that stuff. Just a small video I made for the fun of it, not showing anything serious for now
you should put how to do that on the wiki, automation sounds are great for cars the vanilla sounds don't quite fit.
Today I tried building them at 200% size and scaling them down before exporting. It led to some improvement (there's still a bad spot just below the windshield, but that's a quirk of the T-series UV map). I also introduced a more complicated version with concentric shapes and a few extra panel lines. I think that one is much closer to the style I was originally going for.
I can't remember if what I post has to do with a mod but oh well Here's a fancy greek three wheeler. It of course isn't finished yet.
You mean to make the shading better? If so, I will later, once I've modelled the whole thing, I will then proceed to fix the shading. This is it with edge split: It looks bad and the mesh is a mess... --- Post updated --- However it looks really good with subdivision surface on:
If your aiming to have the car dent, and deform nice, don't use subdivision surface. Beamng needs lowpoly models. Although that does look nice indeed
That isn't completely true however. Lowpoly is a rather "loose" term, as in what's considered high poly and what's low poly. Also subdivision surface is fine to use when done right. IIRC official vehicles use subsurf as well.
A little video I made of me doing the 'Climbing Utah' scenario, but with the B1 instead of the Hopper. It did pretty good, despite using the weakest stock engine - a 5.7L V8 petrol making 190HP

Some more progress on the 8x8 BigRig mod BeamNG - My Mods - 8x8 BigRig Offroader Progress #15 - Modeled a big Plow (custom J-beam) - Added support beams (J-beams) to the big plow (so it will not get stuck in the front wheels as much) - Added Collision triangles to the big plow - Added Collision triangles to the Air & Exaust Holders Left & Right - Added Collision triangles to the Fuel tank Holders and the Fuel tanks Left & Right side. - Made a lot of parts detach easier: Air filters and pipes, Exaust system, Air & Exaust holders, Fuel tanks.
