Wow. Jbeams are confusing... And that's a lot of torque. - - - Updated - - - Alright, so I've decided to put my HY on hold because of the crappy-ness of the model. Many things need to be redone and I just don't feel like doing it. So I've started a new model, with all I've learned now it should be a lot better. I'm gonna wait until the bodywork is mostly complete to post a screenshot, I don't want everyone here to hate me for spamming pics of models. Anyway here's a little (obvious) hint at what car it is. The HY isn't dead, I really want to finish it, but I have to remake most of the model and I lack the motivation for that. /spam
Yeah I have to admit the torque I used on this engine isn't anywhere near realistic. It should only make 510nm@1600rpm Just need to have something powerful for testing atm. Gears are way off too... Plus it's only half the weight it should be and it's missing an axle, but yeah... And yeah, jbeams are confusing when you're building a DAF H-drive system. Which is like, the most confusing drive system ever xD It seems to work great though, even the steering is rigid enough to use a proper push-pull steering system. Hard to make the rear axle rigid though :/ (atm it likes to do snappy drifts because the rear axles must skid somewhat when you're cornering, and then the rear axles start shaking... I'll figure it out I suppose )
And I crashed the game trying to make a box... Maybe the rear axles are shaky because of the massive torque? Did you try using the real torque numbers?

I will, it's fine. I usually go after stupidity, so if you make good posts, you'll be fine. Sent from my stone tabluh-+ using Taoablehbebuhluh.
All this drama because of one post...Just ignore it if you don't like what you see..Instead of one useless post we now have 11(mine included)
Like what's akready been said, I will add extra loops later, for now im keeping my mesh clean just so I won't mess it up
That might be the worst reason I've ever seen for someone to post. And because of your inability to wait for someone to help you in your thread, and your reasoning that that is a legitimate reason to clutter dev-screens with your question, I'm going to make an actual effort not to help you. kthnxbai None of the 8 wheels ever left the ground climbing this... Well I say climbing, but it doesn't seem to require any effort whatsoever. Also, my steering linkage drawings that I got, which are from the DAF factory, appear to be wrong I think, because the second axle should steer with a smaller angle than the front, and mine steers the same on both axles... Which is strange.
