there is already a heavy duty offroad/crawler mod for the etk 800 with Portal axes
let me see if i can find the link to the mod

    here it is
its sadly outdated because the etk 800 got reshaped by the devs so the back doesnt match anymore
    atleast it is drivable

    sory linked the wrong post

I think it should be leaved as Etk 800 All-Terrain because there is a ETK SUV going to be released in some time and the bodystile didnt realy changed on yours which is fine.

    As example
This one is still an E-class even it is higher than a G-class or a GLS it still has the same Body

I support this name. Makes sense since Bernd's class larger SUV was named 1500.
    --- Post updated ---
It's a smaller one, more like X3, while Bernd's one is an X5-sized one. And bodystyle has changed a lot.

You don't expect much durability from a sports sedan-based luxury SUV.

That would honestly be amazing. I've always felt the 800 looked like an X series, and I even once attempted making an SUV version, until realising I had no where near the skill to pull that off. It would be really cool to see that come to the forums.

Attempting to make a torsion bar rear end for the covet... so far it works okay till wheels loose traction, then the vehicle starts doing donuts on its own and sometimes takes off into space... I think I should stop drinking when modding.

Just like the old ETK Suv Bernd was working on before it vanished into oblivion. Looks great!

Notice how with the back view of the SUV it looks narrow compared to the original wagon? That's where you can really see that it's more alike to the X3.

    Some small styling critiques:
The headlight doesn’t quite go far down enough
The “beltline” of the car is too high at the back
The rear window looks a tad small

Love to see some development of a modern crossover! I really hope this finds its way into the base game!

Idk i feel if he made the headlights come down further it might look weird.
The beltline I dont really see what you mean, i think it looks good, its flowy and smooth lines like a modern car should be
The rear window is fairly accurate to the G01 X series (which he based this off of) and i feel it looks fine

Compared to this photo i feel his looks very nice. And quite accurate

Not sure if anyone had done this already, but I've wasted more hours than I'd like to admit on it.

    It's the San Andreas Eight-Track.
    screenshot_2019-06-24_01-24-45.jpg

Got the collisions working and everything. The guardrails don't eat the cars.
    Textures are all there, mostly.
Still working on the lighting, shadows are being weird.
And I'm slowly but surely beginning to understand AI waypoints.

I'll probably have this finished by next week, maybe.
    If the weather is good.

On his, the taillights aren’t as big and don’t frame the rear as well, making the hatch look small and.... lost? Not surrounded?

In terms of the beltline, the more consistent and flatter it is, the better. Take the Lincoln Corsair, for example.
    51C567C4-2736-4B15-9DA6-91ADFF2820B7.jpeg
The beltline stays flat and the roof comes down to it, and the result is great.

I think both of these issues could be fixed by chunkier rear lights, but car design is subjective at the end of the day.

Yeah, I see your points, but, as you said, its all subjective and in the end its up to him. I quite like the way it looks right now, but i see what you said too

Train track layout on my new map (italy size) so it should give you a rough idea how big it will be. im guessing its a 5 minute drive havent tested yet
