yes please! i would recommend using "smooth heightmap" in the editor though, it makes roads alot less bumpy.
I think that was one the main purposes of slidenodes. Nodes can now touch each other without freaking out like you're saying. That's why there are so many new possibilities
Currently, they are using a basic animation, so I guess they could be described as stationary. When we have the ability to preplace objects that use beams and set the wind, this might be changed.

Actually that has absolutely nothing to do with slidenodes at all. A slidenode is simply a node which is attached to and can slide along a beam. A sliding node.
