I'm just doing some tests with the good old depthmap functionality. All the secrets about it are buried deep down in the forum. But here is some success:
I wouldn't say fix, rather made my own and technically this is not a sedan, rather a 4 door hardtop still needs a few design tweaks, and all of the tiny bits like fitting up the window trims and interior carpet, headliner ect.. lastly I will have to redo the UV's and materials for the exterior sheetmetal, but don't worry I will make sure the skins are compatible where possible with the wagon then there is the rear fascia, I could just be lazy and fill in the gap with chrome and trim, but generally wagons tend to have totally different taillights from their sedan counterpart, so I will probably make new ones (though likely using the same textures as the wagon) oh and of course there is the jbeam, which i will most likely do last That's the plan at least, in the mean time this may be a good watch
my day has been made exponentially better, I will watch your progress with a close eye ((please keep us updated)) many socks have been consumed
Thanks, though I usually prefer a whole sock rare with salt and pepper. Base model sock basically OT: Silvia skin UVs done
Today's Claria 4DHT progress side glass, trim and interior headliner is all lined up now the base Claria has a very flat roofline, which on a wagon is passable but looked super wierd on the 4DHT, so I added thos c u r v e Also made the rear fascia, and made some HT taillights, still may do some minor tweaks to the design though (namely the textures/UV, also might widen the outer brakelight a bit) And a small unrelated detail, automatic gearboxes now have a more authentic e x t r a t h i c c brake pedal Next step I guess is to finish up the c pillar interior lining, parcel shelf and trunk lining, not going to be fun
And cook I shallstarting with said taillight tweaks and a few rear end changes, plus a rough positioning of the HT badging (and rear glass lol) Ideally I would use my own taillight glass textures, but the butchered wagon ones work well enough for now, plus making new textures would require a new dedicated material due to lack of additional uv space (which I may do, at a later point after initial release) also keep forgetting but the trunk gould probably use some sort of styling bulge in the center rather than being totally flat, something for later may also a slight curve to the bootlid/top of the fascia, though the lights will probably remain flat
With that body line, wanting a coupe version is only natural. Someone plz do Jokes (or not) aside, this looks gorgeous.
