Starting back on a Hot Rod I modeled 2 or 3 years ago, at the time I only got as far as modelling the body and the wheels, so currently working on the chassis. Should have the car finished within 2-3 weeks, depending on how focused I can be, considering this is all just in my spare time Community Showroom thread: http://www.beamng.com/threads/1630-Hot-Rod-33-Ford-Coup
NLabs Night Edition All lamps projects 512 Size Shadows. No FPS Drops, could run on it at 78FPS stable (I get 20-25FPS on Official maps).
Actually not at all I'm making a fictional car based on 70's Muscle cars (I also have the body mesh almost done, needs some more work, separate parts and smoothing tweaking.) I was wondering, I've looked at reference pictures and some of the frames had leaf springs, while others... not (and the frames were stock, not new ones). Do you think it's correct to use coil springs for a car of that era?
Depends on what vehicle. GM use mostly coils and links back then at all 4 corners, ford used both leaf springs, and coils, and chrysler use torsion bars in the front, and leaf springs out back.
That was my initial thought too... lol More progress on the 1930 Ford. Thanks for Gabe for letting me use the D-15 as a starting point:
