This was not too much better engine model wise, it had a longitudinal i4 with textures ressambling a jap i6 when it was supposed to have a v8 Also the transmission going from the engine was rather 8 polygon I tried to make the engbay as belivable as possible.
I can achieve great things with a lua slave like Dummiesman [webm=]http://puu.sh/gamRm/5b151ee5b4.mp4[/webm]
Seems like a lot o'fun ! ARRRR ! * It really look oversized. What is its diameter ? Is it this big to have correct cannonball collision ? Do you have plans for normal maps ? All the old cannons I ever saw never looked that smooth, there was plenty of small cavity on it. Despite it seems more like a naval one, a coat of arms or motto cast near the wick hole would look good in my opinion. * Read it with a pirate voice matey !
Last picture I posted was rather meh. So, why I was redoing the vegetation? Because I made a quite stupid error. I place my terrain in minus Z Coordinate. What that means? If you go out the map borders, you get catapulted from an invisible plane that represent the "world floor" (coord 0 on Z Axis). I had to move everything up, BUT, the vegetation doesn't move like you would do with a normal object. So I moved the trees manually or redo the whole vegetation. I tried the second, then gave up. Reloaded the old forest file and moved the whole vegetation in batches. With just 3-4 freezes because 2manytrees. Now it's fine. I also added a small airstrip that should be enough to land the Strato Stunt Plane or the Cessna (Need to model a control tower for which I have some rough ideas already). And an offroad path somewhere (I need to add more and more). I need to figure how I can export the "extents" of the terrain from World Machine into a 3D mesh so I can place around the map to give some more scenario. Blabla pics. (imported from here)
The cannon is now lua-less, woo. Plus it'll be included in the next update. [webm=]http://puu.sh/gdlKR/d0e72caaca.mp4[/webm] (imported from here) (imported from here) (imported from here)
Finished beveling the instruments. Also starting 3d needles. (the decals are grey because of the renderer, they're not actually solid background) (imported from here) (imported from here)
Final look of the dash leather and plastic material...approved or not? Focus only on the materials themselves...the color might get a little lighter and there are still missing details Future edit: LOL, If I would have a drink right now, I would spit it all over my screen. lmao! Thanks, I guess Edit: Me again...Who asked for a crisp headlight texture? Well...here you go
