Actually already discussed this with Dummiesman yesterday :p Definitely gonna have something that shoots, we're also looking into the possibility of making it reloadable, since, according to him, it MIGHT be possible to create the nodes for the "bullets" on the fly. Not confirming anything, but the possibility is open :)

That's one thing I don't get. I remember in Rigs of Rods my M26 Pershing tank also bounced around like hell, and that thing weighed like 40 tons(which is the real weight). The proof of concept tank from the video weighs 10 tons, which is the weight of some real life light tanks, and those don't bounce around.

One theory I have is that in the BeamNG POC vehicle, there is indeed not enough weight on it. But there's also still a massive ammount of torque, which means it accelerates WAY faster than a real tank would. Therefore we might just be going far too fast over those cars and ramps and such, making it bounce like that. The tank in RoR was also a lot faster than a real Pershing(it did about 30km/h more than it should), so it may have suffered from exactly the same issue: going a lot faster than we think.

Then there's the point that my suspension may just be far too stiff...

After watching this video, The concept tank's suspension does seem rather stiff when compared to a real life tank.

However, real life tanks do bounce for a bit after a big jump such as the one in the video.

Although I am really short on time lately and also trying to expand and update the Moonhawk mod, I decided to fix the T65 Racing truck mod. The textures are still slapped on to existing maps, but the meshes are improved and I made some jbeams. It needs lots of finetuning though. It's hard to get the front suspension right, the geometry causes the wheels to turn a bit when lowered.
Also, does anyone know the specs of a racing truck engine? I don't know anything about it, I did some research but the only thing I was able to find was that they could have 1000-2000 hp, 8000+ Nm of torque and a top speed of 160+ km/h. (super trucks have a limit of 160km/h...) Currently it has 2500Nm at 2000 RPM with a large turbo gap and a 6 speed transmission.

So I'm recutting the bodywork around the bolide, stitching a few things up and we have a front and rear clamshell. With any luck I can make a tube chassis for it and come out with an attempt at some kind of monsterously lightened version of this car. I doubt there's a logical reason to do this to it, but it's more curiosities' sake than anything else. I want to see the bolide's shape made from large flimsy fibreglass panels that lift off in a similar vogue to the Lancia 037.

If there is a reason someone might do this to a perfectly good supercar, let me know.

The beginnings of the dashboard finally. :)

I'm trying to minimize on the simple mistakes that I made with the rest of the car. In other news, I'm still struggling with correcting poor geometry with the chassis and various other parts of the car. But it'll get to an acceptable point sometime.

Should be pretty easy to do, and with my current knowledge the jbeam would be a walk in the part as well.

    More progress on the dashboard!

    BMW E46 M3 GTR Progress 142-143 (Dashboard).png

    How am I doing?

(I'll go away for a while after this post. I just, basically, finished the main shape of the dash so I wanted to post it. :))

    Looks pretty good to me.
Meanwhile I'm trying to model my first dashboard aswell...
    2015-03-16_23-02-56.png
I've got alot of details to model still, because I'm going to do a higher-poly version with all the buttons aswell, but I think it came out pretty good.
Also now that I'm on about the Skyline I made something else too:
    R30Ute003.jpg R30Ute004.jpg
Also did some stuff on the normal version too:
    R30Render008.jpg R30Render009.jpg
I still need to curve my pillars and edit my roof, but I think the R30's going pretty good so far.
(Those R30 Renders are 4k, zoom in for more detail.)
