Nice! Does it have to be spawned in the air for it to work, or can you carry it up with another plane?

Spawn in the air for now, once we have things like tow hitches and ropes we can attach to other vehicles, I'll set it up with the Cessna 172, to drag it up into the air. :)

Had some more fun with rendering, this took 15 mins @ 480p 15fps on a relatively simple object. I should probably try rendering with the gpu next time...

The glass looks bodged because it is acting as if the whole inside of the car was made from glass. I need to make the panes 3d for them to work proper.

I got bored again. Took about 30 minutes. Dimensionally, this is about on par with the latest gen Grand Caravan +/- 20cm in any direction.

I want to start this after the Harrier/Osprey, provided that slidenodes are close to being ready when those are done...

A bug with the picture attachment system (probably my fault). First i tried attaching the file, but it was over 10mb so i couldn't do that. Then i tried using dropbox and picasa etc. So there were a ton of failed imports. So i am assuming every image gets given a local id and it had overwritten one that didn't exist hence wrong image. Trust my luck the file was something like 10.3mb...

Probably worth saying, I have no idea who that is by, i didnt mean for it to be under a message where i posted things i have made. As it was NOT created by me, all rights go to the original author (whoever that is). Apologys to the actual Uploader.

Finally to the point where I might be able to show my progress on the Scalengetti 470. If you saw the thread, or if you didn't, I basically have completely restarted. Only the original fender remains. And... still a long way to go.

And my reference pictures (It's a design of mine, so it's all hand drawn. Makes using the blueprints to model fun because on a decent amount of things the different views are a bit different)

Looking good! I love the design in your sketch's, looks very sleek and classy, like a 60's Jag.

Yeah, that was partly my inspiration. I also based it off of my dad's 1962 Austin Healey Sprite, and a few other british sportscars from the '60s. The open grille comes from a Cobra 427, though I still might put an Aston-style grille like in the original design. The car's supposed to be modern, but styled like it's from the '60s. The interior's going to be very similar to my dad's Sprite as well, but I was thinking about having a hidden touchscreen for more advanced settings or something like an iPad app (I want to make this in real life, so I've been thinking about this sort of stuff). Rant over.

I really like retro styled modern car's, a few have come out recently. The sketch of the rear of your car looks very futuristic, a blend of old and new is always a nice combo.

Started work on the first of 3 islands on my 'very big' new map (4096 heightmap *4 meters per pixel). It has wide roads for drifting, but the edges have the 'ice' ground material applied :p

My first automotive thing on Blender. It is going to be a fantasy compact-type car, and it will be made up as I go along. Hopefully I can actually make this into an actual working vehicle on BeamNG! I have only been working for about a half hour on it, and I can tell that I will enjoy doing modeling, hopefully!

Is working on one side then mirroring it a good idea? I most likely won't have an interior for this, and it may or may not have a chassis (I may just make this a shell for now, but I will hopefully try to make this as a working car).

Yes, i would highly suggest using a mirror unless you want it to be asymmetric. It is quite difficult to make sure that both sides look the same otherwise.
