She ain't pretty, but she's mine Back half done, about to start the front. Anyone know how to get rid of the mirroring? (The other side is backwards) (imported from here) (imported from here)
Sigh, she is pretty. Word on the "street" is you cannot get rid of the mirroring, it is the way things are mapped. (One user resorted to mirroring his screenshot out of sarcasm). Be warned though, for behind me there usually is someone itching to first rip my knowledge down, and follow up with some different information. Don't give up on that girl. Really is a nice looking mock up. - edit - I see the car design on one solid decal map. The game would have to contain more than one quarter panel, door panel, mirror panel, etc for different displays on each side.
You can make it a large decal, like the GM's police and the Roamer Sheriff's decals. Downside is this kind is prone to clipping especially when the decal is large. The only way I think to get it nice and clean is to copy the meshes which need mirroring (so body, doors and fenders), assign the sides to another material and assign a texture map to that material containing both sides on that map. It will be a hassle to get the map nicely aligned, but it's doable I think. (and assign the meshes in the jbeam)
Thanks to bloonpop for introducing me to skin making. Now when I know the basics I can try and make something cool. The mirroring is a pain indeed... Here, take a preview, again thanks to bloonpop. This skin is nowhere near finised and will be probably reworked.
On a similar note... Discount Tire! I only have the roof, trunk, and sides done. Need to do bumpers, hood, and skirts. (imported from here) (imported from here)
ready to race. though i have jbeam to still do. Its based on bolide and the model is from grid autosport
Those skins are sick Bloonpop! I love the wheels too, but can't recall if they're the racewheels that come with the car? I'd get rid of the carbon fiber roof though, the split in the middle is too obvious. Sneak peek at motorhome engine 454 (7.4 liter) V8 making... wait for it.... 230 horsepower of fury! Glorious. Valvecovers and carburetor are far from finished and it needs some more normalmappings in general. It's also far more high poly than it needs to be at the moment due to the wires, but I can probably fix that
Sorry for my non-contributing post but this thread fits the most for my question. I wanted to ask how can I remove the plastic trim on the Ibishu 200BX?
