i ripped it from GTA and took all underbody parts out. cba to model the real rally fighter myself because i suck.
More work on the rear of the vehicle, the frame is almost complete (imported from here) Edit: Proper lighting setup (imported from here)
The thing about the golf is that it is difficult to look bad in one. It doesn't matter who you are, no one is going to judge you for owning a golf.
If I'm not wrong, the Audi A1 and the Golf are super similar cars. On some websites I read that they have almost the exact same suspension setup and frame. Maybe we could share some parts as we go along? - - - Updated - - - *spamming development thread with hatchbacks* Most parts are place holders.
Even if they are different platforms (due to size difference i suspect they are) you will probably see many parts getting re used where appropriate to save money in production.
Golf looks good! Your render however, doesn't. That graininess comes from insufficient samples for your Cycles render. High sample renders are intensive, so make sure you use your 980 to render, since Cycles supports CUDA. Otherwise, set up matcap in your viewport; that works in realtime with the standard OpenGL lighting so you can adjust the model and get the lighting perfect without using any light sources. Looks spectacular too: (imported from here)
Normal maps out the wazoo (imported from here) (imported from here) They are really fun to mess with actually lol
hnnnng please have little details like seat belt buckles and seat belts. I've got a thing for detailed interiors.
Great work! Those Fuchs alloys look beautiful Don't forget that the facelifted 1983-onward Quattros which you're modelling had digital instrument clusters... The original series with the quad headlights used an analogue cluster.
