Yes, the blueprint will do. Don't stess too much about blueprints unless it looks like it has perspective, is extremely low-resolution, or isn't detailed or clear enough to easily trace over. A few other things to note are:
    • You only really need the blueprints to get the initial shape of the car. They're still useful for rounding out extra details, but try to start using reference images as soon as you have the basic profile down. Reference images will help you get the concave shapes, body lines, individual mechanical bits, interiors, and organic details right.
    • You should look up the vehicle you're creating on a basic information site (Wikipedia, or something tailored more to automobiles) and find the wheelbase and dimensions. That should help you to properly scale the blueprints and the vehicle model itself.
    • Try to avoid the temptation to set one side of the vehicle up perfectly and with extreme detail before moving on to another face. That's a great way to get a very detailed car-shaped surface. Always play with the camera (try holding MMB down while moving the mouse) and check it against your reference images, making sure that it looks good from every angle instead of perfect from one.
    • Lastly, don't expect a perfect result first time. 3D modelling is a big area of study, and while it surely is possible to learn it quickly, your first project is going to be rough. Pace yourself, do some reading, follow tutorials, and try looking up and trying out some keyboard shortcuts just to see what they do. Even now, I still find some features of Blender I didn't know about.

Like everyone is saying, start small. You'll be slow and make a lot of mistakes in the beginning, so it's best to just start with a small project at first. I tried modelling a car as one of my first projects and regret the mistakes that I had to fix. Some time after I release the car I'll probably remodel it after I take on some more projects. I did the best I could to patch it up but it would've been much better if I had more experience and proper techniques.
